But as he was headed for the telephone line, the power was suddenly restored and a swarm of cops came banging at the door. ''It's an emergency. Open up!'' The cops shouted rattling the handle, attempting to force their way in. ''It's the cops. Open up and let us in. Now!'' ''The door's locked from behind. I'm trapped in,'' Donovan snapped back impatiently as he watched the cops and medical personnel troop in heavily armed with ammunition and medical equipment respectively. The arrival of the cops and medical personnel into the ward was greeted by the bright light that poured across the ward revealing the killer's signature boldly scribbled across the walls in blood lettering: ''I Am Fury.''

That word alone carried both triumph and terror. Angela exhaled slowly, her silver-gray eyes narrowing. “They’ll send more,” she said quietly. “Stronger, faster, and with intent to capture, not negotiate. You’ve marked yourself as a target, Flamebearer.” Her warning made the heat flare again, the fire inside me responding instinctively, pulsing in readiness even when I tried to calm it. Lucifer and Azrael then took a few steps towards the next prison cell, but before she could go in, Lucifer noticed how many guards were laid out in the hallway ahead of them. “Freya seems angry,” ze said. “I mean, she really didn’t pull any punches against some of those guards.” “Well yeah,” Azrael replied. “Just look at these people, what the Illuminated did to them. If I was her, I’d be taking my frustration out on them, too.” “I get that it’s bad or whatever.
