If not, a weight as light as two kilograms triggers it and would cause it to blow off immediately. The least of the damages could be having your leg amputated. The city lights began to thin, replaced by quieter streets and stretches of darkness broken only by warm golden glows in the distance. My heart began to beat faster — not in fear. In anticipation. Booby traps—sharp, deadly, and inescapable—finished off almost everyone. The few who managed to evade the traps didn’t last long. Guerrilla fighters sprang from trees, striking with brutal precision, their machetes glinting in the faint moonlight.

"Let the fireworks begin. . ." The night skies were lit bright from the constant and random explosions immanueted from the land mines, spread across the forest within that vicinity. And not just dark skies were made bright, but the silence of the night was robbed nevertheless. The mixed screams and cries, bombarding and several noises overshadowed the area.

Large gray silhouettes emerged from the fog. Military ships. Coast Guard vessels. Helicopters filled the sky. Searchlights locked onto the lighthouse. Luca laughed in disbelief. "Deploying countermeasures!" Around the perimeter of the ship, buried beneath the ash, Pressure Mines detonated in sequence. THUMP. THUMP. THUMP. Grey clouds of ash and shrapnel exploded upward. It wasn't lethal—it was tactical. The mines were filled with Flash Powder and magnesium. A blinding white light washed over the battlefield, turning the grey fog into a wall of brilliance. "Visuals lost!" a Blackwatch commander screamed. "Switch to thermal! Go to infrared!" "They can't!" Ren yelled, racking another round. "The reactor heat is masking us! They're blind!"

We are struggling to adjust to the new order more than I expected but all agree it’s still for the best. It’s probably ill advised to be wandering through a minefield with my head all over the place, but it is imperative that I check the mines haven’t shifted on the beach. The wind has uncovered a lot of them so they may not be the deterrent we had hoped, I’m well enough aware of my state of mind to know I shouldn’t be messing with them today. Luckily the ones on the rocks appear to still be concealed and stable. The men in the lighthouse outpost are all in high spirits, the crazy fuckers love the thrill of a stormy sea, the men in the shack Zander visited are less impressed with the recent
