Rising from the Ashes

Rising from the Ashes

Though he had taken a wide detour to shake off his pursuer, he was now close to the Wraith Graveyard. Just two more hours, and he would arrive. The map had served its purpose and was no longer needed. Andrew had memorized every place he had passed through. The wasteland scenery was monotonous and dull. Decades, if not centuries, ago, this place did not look like this. However, wars that wiped everything out had drained these places of all vitality. One of the regions Andrew passed through had once been hit by a nuclear strike. Many years later, and with no one maintaining it, the land remained completely barren.

Good introduction. It sounds as if Christina was forced to be cold & dump Andrew. Since after he left, we see that she was aware of her actions & didn’t simply, not care. The rest were quite the typical cliché in Chinese type of stories. I’ll be great if the 2 made amends, unlike the typical cliche

Enchanting Royalty

Enchanting Royalty

The air was thick, almost suffocating, with a faint metallic taste, as if the very atmosphere was tainted by the remnants of past violence. A hollow wind howled through the twisted terrain, carrying with it a sense of emptiness and despair. It was an unnatural sound, like the world itself was alive, watching us with malevolent intent. I could see swirling clouds of dust, crimson in hue, moving lazily across the ground, covering the barren land in a ghostly mist. Everything was bathed in a sickly red light, casting a sinister glow over the sharp rocks and dry, cracked soil. It felt like we were standing in the ruins of a world long forgotten, abandoned by life and hope.

The Pleasure Archive

The Pleasure Archive

The wasteland sun beat down mercilessly on my naked, exhausted body as I was dragged through the dust by two warlords, my wrists bound with rough rope. The abandoned military base had been transformed into a brutal post-apocalyptic playground by the Midnight Club, burned-out vehicles, barbed wire fences, flickering fires, and groups of “survivors” (wealthy Club members in costume) roaming the area like predators.

And the wind never stopped. It dragged across the wasteland in long, hollow breaths, carrying with it a sound that refused to settle into anything human. It whispered. A thousand voices layered together. Soft. Broken. Pleading. Like Omegas mourning something the world could no longer remember. At the center of it all stood the ruins of the Stain Estate. What had once been a fortress of power and defiance was now a fractured skeleton of steel and stone. Half-collapsed walls leaned into each other like exhausted giants. Exposed wiring hung like veins ripped from a body. And deep inside there was still light.

The Obsidian Covenant #1: The Rejected Mate's Ruin

Beyond it, through the thick iron bars, I could see the sky. It wasn't the clean, false sky of the Apex, filtered through crystal domes. It was a bruised purple, choked with smog and dust. The wind that blew through the bars was hot and dry, carrying the taste of ash and distant fires. "The Dregs," Viggo breathed. He leaned close to the grate, inhaling deeply. His nostrils flared. "It smells like... burning." "It smells like home," Neoma said quietly. She gripped the bars. They were rusted, ancient iron that flaked under her touch. Beyond them lay the Scrap Fields, the Warrens, and the thousands of miles of Wasteland where the Lugal’s law was just a rumor.

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

The sky, swamp, and Little Candy had all disappeared. Caspian found that he was standing in a desolate wilderness. The sky and the earth were the same grey, giving people a sense of despair. In the wilderness, there were huge rocks everywhere. These rocks were like giant swords inserted into the ground. They were either upright or crooked. Each of them was as high as dozens of floors. Each and every one of these enormous creatures made one feel as if one's chest was about to be torn apart. Caspian also saw that these rocks were also wide and narrow, just like broad and thin swords in real life.

Even if i still read it, this book stopped being interesting after Grand pure emperor was killed...(that is ch. 2200 maybe) It is like realms are only introduced after he reaches a peak of the previous. There is nothing special about these realms and there is nothing special about the book anymore.

The Peculiar Morass

The Peculiar Morass

Destiny will do the finding. You are mine, to begin with. I will always be your end game. - Estefan Eustacio --------------------------------------------------------------------------- She was sitting in a field of green wheat; the stalks bend lazily in the wind marveling at the grains. Each one is distinct and though different from the others, still perfectly formed. She runs her hand along the edge to feel the combination of rough and smooth and then glances upward to feel the warm light of the mid-summer day. The air smells just right and the birds fly in an almost cloudless sky. She began walking, the field went on forever and after a while her feet became roots, digging into the soil.

Dawn of the Gods

Dawn of the Gods

Xiao Chen pressed. The swordsman paused uncertainly before he went on, "The Wastelands are thus called, because much of the ground is either dry, barren, or desolate. Most of the Wastelands are covered by miles and miles of swamps and desert, unlike the lush verdant steppes of the Violet Manor, which is what the natives of the Wastelands call the Five Continents." Xiao Chen took in a long, heavy breath. "Am I now on the brink of ruin, on the run from the Immortals' League, that I have to seek refuge in the desolate Wastelands?"

Airbornes: Bjorn and the Floating Nest

Airbornes: Bjorn and the Floating Nest

These beings lived without reverence for Mother Tree. As they descended deeper into Below, the western wasteland became more evident. Punctuated by dwarfed trees, bristle brush, and yellowed grass, the wastelands withered into pure bleakness. The image brought to mind, on a much-expanded scale, the yellowed regions of Mother Tree—places where caddisflies failed to breed. Far away at the blend of joined horizons, the sky stooped and kissed the lips of destruction. This barren dumping ground was the remnant of a long-forgotten war, the horror of Below.

Traveller Of Two Worlds

Traveller Of Two Worlds

But I also saw, in my mind’s eye, the towers rising in Nova Bastion, the highways crossing the desert, the faces of children waving to our signal drones. Aeternum isn’t one city, one nation, or even one people anymore. It’s everywhere we bring light. And the Wasteland? It’s just another star in the constellation. We used to say the sky in the Wasteland had a color of sorrow. It was always pale. Always quiet. No rain, no clouds, just the sun hanging above like a judge watching a trial that never ends. The land—cracked, brittle, and spiteful—gave us nothing but dust and thorns. The seeds we planted died in silence. The only thing that grew was despair.
