Falling in love with a supernatural being

Falling in love with a supernatural being

If Luke found me now, I knew I wouldn’t live to tell anyone what happened. We were supposed to get married next month. It wasn’t a love marriage. Our engagement was arranged before I was even born. Our grandparents had made a deal to unite their companies by marrying the first grandson and granddaughter born into the two families. Five days ago, my parents packed my bags and sent me to stay at Luke’s family mansion for a week so I could “bond” with my future husband. But the man the world saw—the handsome, charming billionaire known for helping others—wasn’t the real Luke. The moment the doors of his private penthouse closed behind us, the kind, perfect man disappeared. In his place was a mo

Married to the billionaire by contract

Married to the billionaire by contract

“What is this?” “A proposal,” he said. “A solution. My father’s will contains a clause that requires me to be married within the year to maintain certain corporate protections. I need a wife—under terms that protect my interests. You need payment for your brother’s surgery. I provide funds, you provide marriage for one year. No emotional entanglement. A formal, legal arrangement.” The room tilted in on itself. Elena felt disoriented as if the carpet had moved. “Are you—are you offering me money for marriage?” Her laugh sounded broken and incredulous. “That’s—cruel.”

HER ARRANGED MARRIAGE

HER ARRANGED MARRIAGE

"The talking, the patience and acting like any of this means something to you. What are you doing." I considered the question properly before I answered. "It does mean something to me." She looked at me like I had said something in a language she did not speak. "I agreed to this marriage," I said. "Not because I was forced but because I wanted to. And I am not going to pretend otherwise just because it makes you more comfortable." "Well it does not mean anything to me," she said flatly. "I agreed because my father threatened to give my throne to my cousin and I had no other choice. That is it. That is all this is."

The billionaire's unprepared marriage

The billionaire's unprepared marriage

The clash was too shocking and surprising. He raised his voice, but still controlled. “now Listen carefully. I’m giving you a choice.” He pulled out a business card from his pocket and slid it straightly across the counter. It felt cold. Heavy. “Marry me. Sign a contract. Fourteen months. You’ll be entitled to three million dollars. No feelings. No attachment. Power and total control only.” What! I blinked at the card again and again, as though it were some dead joke which can never come Alive.

Marriage With The Billionaire

Marriage With The Billionaire

I had forgotten how impatient he can be, I better get to the point "So what I am saying in conclusion is that for the past two years, Grandma and my Dad had been bugging me about getting married and all that, and I had turned a deaf ear to them because I was not interested in any marriage, but just a few months ago, Grandma made this threatening decision, that if I don't intend to get married in a certain period of time, I will have to step down as the acting CEO of Liv Luxe,” "So that means I never heard it wrong, Mia was right, so you're saying you had to marry him under duress, is that correct?" He asked.

he fired, looking me directly in the eyes as I could see the anger in his face. "You don't understand... this is the fight that I must fight. Don't you get it? My great-grandparents had placed their fortune, my mother had placed her fortune, and my father had placed his on the condition that I get married to the daughter of my great-grandfather's friend; the doctor who treated my grandpa," I paused, breathing continuously and rubbing my hand roughly on my perfectly styled blond hair as I closed my eyes for a moment. "My family owes them their life. I saw the signed agreement, Jason... I just need to do this."

Another Chance To Live

Another Chance To Live

His ocean-blue eyes, cold and unreadable, pierced hers. He looked very much alive, too alive for someone who had been at death’s door not long ago. He rolled his chair backward, positioning himself behind the desk so the furniture stood like a barrier between them. "I'm not surprised my mother arranged a wife for me while I was dying," he said, voice calm but edged with bitterness. "She has always wanted a daughter-in-law and a grandchild." He paused, eyes lifting to meet hers directly. "But let’s be clear: don’t expect kindness or romance from me. This is a marriage of convenience. Nothing more."

The Billionaire's Pretend Wife

The Billionaire's Pretend Wife

she told him. “You don’t even know what she told me,” he countered. She sighed. “I did marry you in her place so that I could get money to pay for Ruth’s medical bill.” “From me?” he asked, and she looked up at him. “What? No. She pretended to be pregnant by another man, so her parents asked me to marry you in her stead. They promised to pay Ruth’s bill in return. I was desperate to get that money, so I agreed.” “And they never paid, did they?”

So far this book is enjoyable and both touching. The protectiveness Isabelle displays for Jacob. The authority that emanates from Jacob without him giving way as to who he is...awesome. However, I would love to be able to just read the book without being nickled and dimed

2/2 - It was truly a heartwarming story and I enjoyed it again, reading it for a second time. We all need a man like the male lead, who loves unconditionally and never falls for any traps (and is a bit naughty hihi) I hope the other books are also of the same quality.

Sold to Him.

Sold to Him.

He beamed. “WHAT?!” I screamed. “Are you f**king kidding me? I just turned eighteen, what makes any of you think I want to get married to some stranger? Why would no one have said anything about an arranged marriage? Who even does arranged marriages anymore?” I throw the dress at him and I’m looking for other things to launch his way when he starts pleading with me again. “Please, Linds, do this for mom and dad. If you marry him you can save the company and all of the employees that mom and dad loved so much. We need this connection and you are the only one who can make it.”

Really enjoyed this story. I read it once it was all completed. It would be nice if the author did bonus Epilogues in the future or a spin off novel. I feel like these characters could make a whole series.

The Billionaire Contract Marriage

The Billionaire Contract Marriage

He inveighed bitterly to her. "Everyone would be so disappointed and it would be in the news that, Robin DeMarco got jilted by his wife to be, two weeks before their wedding. That'll do ruin my reputation and it'll affect my business." "So now, you are proposing me to act like your fiancé and get married to you?" Astrid asked him, when it became obvious he Was done with his story. "It'll be a contract marriage and I'll pay you handsomely for it." He assured her,
