Lily said, breathing hard. Liam turned to face her the moment he heard her words. He glared at her but Lily acted un bothered. "I can never love and protect a killer!" Liam said with clenched teeth. Lily forced a sad smile but swallowed her words. "What do you want to see me for?" He asked, standing up and marching towards Lily menacingly. This time Lily didn't flinch nor run backwards. She positioned her mind to transform. She could feel her claws and paws finding their position in her body.

Ryan says as he looks at me in confusion. "Well…" I say and hesitate. "Don't tell me that you are scared?" He asks. "Not scared just worried that what if this lake has something dangerous in it and it attacks." I say. "Like sharks?" He says teasingly. "No... like crocodiles." I say. "They are not here." Ryan says. "How would you know?" I ask as he gets up. "Because it is private area and I make sure that everytime I come here that this lake is inspected about any carnivores animals and shifted to another place in case they are here." He says.

And I’m the girl who’s going to watch you burn.” She pulled a small device from her pocket, a remote detonator. “The boat is full of explosives. Ceddy’s idea. If I press this button, this whole island goes up.” Marcus’s father went pale. “You’re bluffing.” Lily held up the detonator. “Try me.”

I fall on my back with a ‘thud’. I quickly roll over and avoid him before he could trap me to the ground. I get up and swing my rubber blade to strike him again. He dodges every swing. Frustrated, I pretend to go for an obvious swing that he could dodge. When he fell for it, I quickly shift positions catching him off guard. Before he had time to move again, I tackle him and stab him in a specific spot on the neck that would instantly kill him. "That's a kill! Good job Lily!" Alex announces, ending the spar.

She backed away, toward the edge of the canal that bordered the district, her eyes locked onto Sofia’s. "The truth isn't in this drive," Lily said, her voice steady and chillingly calm. "The truth is everywhere." She threw the thumb drive into the murky, swirling waters of the canal, the small object disappearing without a splash.

He shouted, “What did you make me swallow?!” “Poison,” Lily shrugged and added, “One that dissolves upon contact with water. Your stomach acid has probably dissolved it already. Even if you throw up now, it won’t make a difference. Of course, you can try if you want.” Her indifference infuriated Fred as he snatched a pistol from a guard and marched toward her, pointing it at her head. However, Lily remained unfazed. “You know what I’m capable of, and I’m the only one who can neutralize the poison. Of course, feel free to kill me if you don’t believe me.”

"Alpha, if you doubt her, summon the pack’s healer. The poison in Lily’s vial is different from what killed her mate. The healer can confirm this." The Alpha’s gaze darkens, and he motions for the healer. Within moments, the elderly woman steps forward, carrying her satchel. She collects the vial from the Alpha, her gnarled hands carefully cradling it. She uncorks it, lifting it to her nose. Her nostrils flare, and her brow furrows deeply. “This scent... sharp, bitter—classic signs of paralytic poison,” she mutters, almost to herself. “The poison in Lily’s vial is a paralytic. The poison that killed her mate causes organ failure. They are completely different substances.” Alpha Zephyr stands

She tore it into pieces, and raised her chin at Lily as if saying, "now let's see what you'll do" Lily smirked. For someone who had planned her mother's death so meticulously, she was sure dumb. Lily pressed the stop button on the recorder when she got into her car and burst into tears. The pain was like a fresh wound. So painful. She sniffed, swearing to bring them all to book.
