She looked at him. The house in the photograph was not theirs. It had been his parents’ and then no one’s and then eventually sold because the costs of maintaining it had been beyond what the foundation could justify. But it existed. And presumably it was owned by someone. And this was the kind of thing that was sometimes possible when the right people asked the right question. She looked at Lily. “This is a very good presentation,” she said. Lily accepted this with the composure of someone who had known it was a good presentation and was glad to have it confirmed.

"We are here." I looked out the window. A farmhouse. Old. Stone. Covered in vines. The roof was sagging. The windows were dark. "The next safe house?" Gregory nodded. "Yes." We walked inside. The farmhouse was warm. A fire burned in the fireplace. Beds in every room. Food in the kitchen. Toys in the corner. Someone had prepared this place. Someone had been waiting. Lily ran to the toys. Barnaby was in her arms. "I like this place."

“Take me in?” Was he so straightforward? Liler nodded vigorously, “Let’s go. I’ll take you to see my grandmother after dinner.” After finishing the meal and settling the bill, Liler rode his bike and brought Harmonia back home. What came into view was a house that looked like a palace. Although it was extremely luxurious, it was not in the slightest bit gaudy but was instead filled with many delicate details. There were many flowers and plants in the garden, and there was a glass greenhouse not far away which showed the owner, Madam Judd’s great love for plants.

This is definitely safer than Harry's beach house, out in the open for anyone to find. “There it is, that one,” Roger says when he parks in front of a beige house with a large, gorgeous garden with all kinds of flowers. It's smaller than Harry's and has a cottage vibe, but it’s still pretty much a mansion. I get out with my son and walk inside the house without knocking. "Mom? Dean? It's Lily," I say out loud, looking around. Everything inside seems a little too perfect and new. It doesn't feel too homey, but it could be. I kind of really like it, "Hello?"

I replied. We’d been touring the estate for over two hours. We’d seen the entire house, the beach house, the guest house, and the playhouse (which was a massive fort for kids). We’d seen the stables, the trails through the forest, the gardens and the greenhouse, the hedge maze, the tennis and basketball courts, and rose gardens. We were now at the private pond, which was more like an actual lake, complete with a little sandy beach, a couple of row boats, and a dock to fish off of.

“No, not yet. He had an important meeting this morning, but I imagine that he'll be back any time now.” “Okay, great,” she said. “Well I'm going to head out and push Maggie on the swing. Just tell Wyatt that I'm here if you see him.” “Will do,” Mildred said, with a nod. Lily turned and headed out to the back yard. To the left was a large swimming pool, complete with two different diving boards at different heights. To the right was Maggie's playground, which was bigger and nicer than any public playground Lily had ever played on growing up. It looked like it belonged in a park, not in someone's back yard.

And then she turned her head and looked at me again. “Mommy, can we still have our bath time tonight? With the big bubbles?” I reached back and touched her hand. “Of course, sweetheart. Always.” We reached the mansion not long after. The house felt too big and too quiet, but Lily skipped ahead, already chatting about bath bombs. I followed Lily upstairs, her small feet pattering softly against the polished floors as she chattered about her favorite bath bombs. She held my hand tightly, swinging it as she walked. “Do we still have the glittery one?” she asked, eyes bright with excitement.

Thunder growled across the sky, Lily looked up, her throat tightening as she stood in front of the Holloway’s mansion. The gigantic house that her mother had pleaded with her to move into but she had refused. She was happy that her Mum found her happiness but she couldn’t bear the rumors and whacking tongues of others. Lily walked into the building, luckily, the house manager buzzed her in and she approached the living room. The house seemed in a bit of disarray, Jennifer Holloway was barking orders to the housekeepers and few things are being moved.

It was Lily’s. My eyes widened, and without thinking, I followed the trail of the scent, with every step I took, it got stronger until I arrived at a large three-story house that stood out from its neighbours. It was a beautiful house that looked freshly renovated with neatly trimmed hedges and an array of flowers at the entrance. As I stared at the building, I didn’t need to be told that the house must belong to someone important in the pack.

Lucas clarified. Lily glanced at the most prominent house in that community. Well, can one call it a community if it was only composed of four mansions? The closer they got, the more she had a clear view of the estate. It was huge! They turned up at a gate welded with scripted letters of "L & L." "Okay," Lily said while narrowing her eyes at Lucas. She remarked, "L & L? How did you even know I would agree to get back with you?"
