She leaned back in her chair, her eyes twinkling with something more than sympathy.
Maybe… just maybe… this is my chance.
Natasha slowly reached for her handbag that was resting beside her desk. Her fingers moved carefully, and she pulled out her small red lipstick, uncapped it, and leaned closer to her compact mirror. With a little ease, she reapplied the color to her lips before pressing them gently together. Her eyes turned to her reflection in the mirror. She tilted her head, checked her hair, dabbed at a small corner of her eye, and gave herself a little nod.
