Miri is back again! This time with a lovable strong unconventional female lead. Tilly is funny and sassy and in some ways relatable. As she always does it’s an original setting and storyline. Looking forward to the updates and to see how this goes. Because this is going to be hilarious at times.

Awesome, underrated book. So happy I took a chance on this. Well plotted storyline, with crazy twists, great humor, drama, action, gore & steamy heat. Well developed characters. Minimal typos so still easy reading flow. Love how Tilly has so much crazy sassiness despite how dark done parts became.

THE GOODBYE HE MISSED

THE GOODBYE HE MISSED

She read it once more — the custody language, the filing timeline, the clean structure of an exit that had always been waiting for her to be ready. This time she moved the cursor to the reply field. This time she typed: Confirmed. Two weeks. Proceed with preparation. She read it back. She pressed send. She closed the laptop. She lay in the dark and listened to the sounds of Adrian finishing the dishes below her — the water, the quiet, the particular sound of a man who had run out of useful things to do and had not yet found his way to sleep. She did not take the letter out of her coat pocket.

great start..concise with nuances. hope it would end the same way. not tooo many chapters that the main characters became watered down with so many side stories. i'm reading along slowly... so that i don't have to wait for updates. keep up the good work, dear author!
Miriam
I'm only on chapter 5 of this story and I'm so invested. It's well written and I love how the female lead, Sophia, is depicted. I hope things work out for her and the children, away from the man who doesn't recognize the value in the family he's neglected.

No Goodbye, Just Gone

No Goodbye, Just Gone

But in the end, he didn't follow. Selfishness was etched into his very bones. In the sky, the sunset glowed brilliantly. I seemed to see that 17-year-old young lady once more, standing beneath the tree by the old house, silently wishing for her lover's safety and hoping he would return home in glory. Later, the person waiting under the tree became two. I wasn't afraid to wait, really. I was only afraid of not having the chance to wait at all. Fortunately, this time, it was me who no longer wanted to wait.

Goodbye, Everyone

Goodbye, Everyone

I opened the messaging app and typed: [Don’t bother coming. I’m already home.] I hit send. The screen went dark. The house fell completely silent. I leaned back on my couch and closed my eyes. The small, stubborn hope I held onto finally faded.

The Currency of Goodbye

The Currency of Goodbye

So I stopped arguing, picked up the pen, and signed my name. We'll settle this debt later, I told myself. When they saw my signature, the satisfaction in Wade and Ella's eyes was almost overflowing. Wade even smirked and said, "Want me to transfer you a hundred bucks for cab fare?" I let out an icy laugh. "Keep it. You might need it for your own funeral someday." Ella's face twisted with anger, and she almost snapped again, but Wade quickly pulled her back inside. Before the door fully closed, I heard her muttering under her breath, "Finally got rid of those two burdens."

No Return After Goodbye

No Return After Goodbye

If I'm not careful, I wet myself. "I lost my husband and my child for three whole years. Again and again, I had to endure that humiliation. Don't you think I have the right to hate you? "Do you honestly think a few words of regret are enough for me to forgive you?" His eyes were bloodshot. He opened his mouth like he wanted to speak, but no words came out. Seeing him standing there in a daze, I let out a long, exhausted sigh. "Stop bothering me." I glanced down at the mess on myself, then turned to leave.

My Goodbye Was Their Wake-Up Call

My Goodbye Was Their Wake-Up Call

Even the sharp corners of tables and chairs were filed down. I lay on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. I felt hollow and lifeless. How could dying be this hard? I walked over to the window, my gaze falling on what used to be a vibrant garden. Once, it bloomed with roses—my favorite. But Maynard had burned them all down after Darlene pricked her finger on a thorn. I scanned the room, searching for something I could use to smash the window and escape. That was when the door creaked open.
