Bobby nodded weakly, happy to fall in step with the couple on the far side of Tommy, where he didn’t have to see the pale and cracked vision of what Sandy Clem had become. Opening his eyes, he saw the tall, handsome man with narrow, cold eyes staring at him without a hint of warmth. "You dared to touch his things. Lucas, with the cigarette between his lips, coldly said, "Too late."

Soon it was swollen and red and throbbing. ‘Now,’ said Bobby, ‘Do you think this is a small dick?’ The guy didn’t answer. ‘You’d better tell me,’ said Bobby. ‘You’d better tell me what you really think. Is this a little Asian dick? Tell me!’ ‘No’ said the guy. Even saying this single word, his voice shook. ‘You think I could work you over with it? ‘Yes.’ ‘It’s a beautiful dick, beautiful and strong, isn’t it?’ ‘Yes.’

Chapter 40 I sat quietly for a few more minutes waiting for Bobby to come back into the room. Why didn’t dad want me to say anything to Bobby I thought to myself. Trudy made small talk asking random questions about school. I was getting sleepy, and I yawned. The atmosphere in the small kitchen turned dark and gloomy even with the sunrise shining through the kitchen window over the sink. Bobby came back and sat at the table putting a large bag down off to the side. He smiled at his mom, and they started to talk. When he came back his mug was empty and was going to poor a second cup. His mom didn’t stop him. I was wondering if the drug was just in my cup. Or did she poison the entire pot?

’ And the thoughts of that, made my chest swell with a hot but clean satisfaction. “Let’s make sure she remembers this,” Bobby said again. This time there was a quiet in his voice, like a threat wrapped in silk. I downed the last of my drink in one gulp. The wine tasted like victory and like a lie all at once. For a second I closed my eyes and let the night breathe over me. The plan was forming and it felt easy and cruel, like honey spun to trap a fly. I ran my fingers through my hair, smoothing it, making sure everything looked right.

My voice was slow and drawn out. I had heard stories from my friends about being drunk. They said the feeling would go away in minutes if you didn’t drink too much. It seemed like I didn’t drink too much earlier. So I was confident that I would be sober in a moment. “Come on. Let’s find a seat,” he suggested. I nodded because sitting was exactly what I needed right now. “I’m Bobby, by the way.” Bobby introduced himself as he led me away from the crowd. I rubbed my temples as the slowly floating feeling turned into a headache.

I happily took him up on that, flew back to Coral Bay, and settled into my time off without a care in the world. I kept an eye on the calendar, but I wasn't anxious. I knew Jack's company wouldn't run into trouble for a few more days. The real problems would surface once their new projects got underway and all the funding gaps became impossible to hide. By then, things would already be too far along to shut down, and the losses would start compounding fast. As expected, three days later, my phone rang. It was Julie calling. "Annie, something's wrong with the accounts. Can you come back and help?"

Little Bobby countered. "No, you said you would get me a wife, Bobby, but I didn't tell you it was going to get married now," Jason replied. "I am going to find you a wife, uncle, a beautiful one like my mummy," Little Bobby interjected. "Yes, I know Little Bobby; you've told me that countless times," Jason replied. "I just did." Little Bobby grinned, adding, "Can I wear the little groom suit and not Liam? I think the two of us can wear it," Little Bobby said until he exhausted his last breath.

He raised a paper up to my face, and I had to adjust the rims of my glasses over my eyes before taking a good look at what was hovering before me. My blood suddenly ran cold and my throat felt dry as I saw his homework, already marked with a 'D' grade at the top in red. "Dave this is…. " "I asked you a question, Flea face." He snapped at me, and from the edge of my eyes, I saw his two friends standing back, on either sides of him. They were the Franklin twins and their dad was the principal of the school. Their similar blonde hair shone in the afternoon sunlight that seeped into the windows which the janitor was yet to shut close and their eyes were filled with mirth and mock.
