Everything was either charcoal gray or white, giving off a cool feeling even without the air conditioning running. But as soon as she stepped inside, she smelled the rich aroma of homemade mushroom soup. Aria was surprised, then heard him say, "I made some soup before picking you up. It's perfect timing to have it now." Aria nodded, then saw him half-squat to take out a pair of women's slippers from the shoe cabinet. They were soft pink with little Totoro figures on top, resembling the popular Studio Ghibli character. "You... keep these slippers at home?"

I picked up one of the silver spoons, my fingers threatening to let go of the spoon as I brought it to my lips. "Well, here goes nothing," I muttered beneath my breath before taking a sip... I hadn’t realized how hungry I was until I finished the soup within minutes. Kendell seemed pleased. "Alexa, I have something I would like to discuss with you. Good news and bad news." Kendell paused a bit, his eyes preying on me as they diverted to my marked neck, making me self-conscious. "Well, I guess anything coming out of the beast's mouth has to be bad news."

Offering no resistance, I let him maneuver my frail body until I was seated in between his legs. “Open your mouth." I forced my eyes into slits and saw that he was holding a spoon up in front of me, waiting. I grimaced and opened my mouth. It felt parched and heavy. The spoon came close and warm custard flowed into my mouth. It was sweet and creamy. I let it spread around my mouth, dispelling the heaviness. The instant sweet and creamy taste seemed to sink into every fiber, waking my body up and reminding my stomach of its need for fuel. I quickly swallowed it and opened my mouth wider.

“You're welcome!” Ardyn smiled, proud of himself as I grabbed two smaller bowls from a drawer and one big one. I got a metal spatula as well, the ones that didn't have any holes or lines in between, and then a pack of skittles and m&ms from the cupboard. I dropped the candy right next to the two rolls of oreos, rinsing the spatula and an ice cream spoon. Finally I opened the bucket of ice cream, scooping a lot out of it and putting it into the biggest bowl as I made small talk, all for Ardyn's sake.

He handed me the tea first, unwrapping me from my blanket, placing the hot water bottle on my stomach before wrapping me back in my burrito blanket again. I took few sips of the tea while he pulled me back into his lap, he opened my chocolate bar and let me have small bites slowly, all this did make me feel better now. I enjoyed my cuddle session, once my tea and chocolate were over, I went back to sucking on daddy's neck happily, it's the best place to be in. "Bacon makes everything better" We stay in our apartment for the rest of the day, wanting to take it easy, so we cuddle up under a blanket on the sofa, Chilli rests her head on my chest, rising and falling with each breath I take. My arm draped over her, the tips of my fingers gently caressing the smooth skin of her arm. Just this simple action sends smoothing waves of love through my system like a drug, my mind and heart swimming in it.
