Not Your Typical Live-In Son-In-Law

Not Your Typical Live-In Son-In-Law

Silence at the table. Julian continued. “I learned spreadsheets because I had to manage food stamps. I learned logistics because the only work I could get paid ten dollars an hour. And I married into the Lancaster family not because I needed them—but because they saw I wasn’t afraid of building things from the ground up.” Victor smiled, but the smile was thinner now. “Well said,” someone murmured. Julian sipped his water. “You want to mock me, do it honestly. Say it out loud. Say what you’re thinking.”

Life Wasn't Like This Once

Life Wasn't Like This Once

Wilson was pleading tearfully, "The debt's already been paid long ago! What else do you want? Sylvia warned you—" A resounding smack cut off his words. The leader of our abductors, a scar-faced man, yanked Wilson up by the hair. "Sure, we've gotten the money back, but she broke three of our boss' ribs! As members of the underworld, how could we possibly lie down and accept that? You're incredibly precious to her, aren't you? Well, I'm going to have so much fun torturing you today!" Ah, so they were small-time loan sharks. It was no wonder they failed to recognize me.

Living in a World of Black and White

Living in a World of Black and White

Sarah's POV I believe in the saying "expect the unexpected" for that already happened to me several times. I always think about what is going to happen everywhere I go. This may sound so weird, but overthinking a part of my life. I never think of any positive if I am only thinking for myself. As a little girl who grew up in a house full of arrogant and competitive people, I always think that something bad will happen like failure. So what I did to myself is to think advance. I always think of everything that may happen, but this one, this happening now, I really don't think of it, even in my dreams.

The Billionaire's Contract Wife

The Billionaire's Contract Wife

“I was so scared, Alex. I thought you murdered her.” “I didn't.” He smiled. “I guess you don't have a clue about who your husband really is.” Larry said, walking in through the door, staggering in the process. He doesn't look like himself. I shook my head. “Dramatic?” Alex glared at him. “Do not start.” He warned, but Larry continued. Larry looked at me. Killing humans is no big deal to him. He bathed in the blood of humans. He was known as a beast who feeds only the flesh and blood of his prey.”

Living with His Mark

Living with His Mark

“Please can we just talk?” “We still have an alliance for now that is. You can take Bradley and Castor with you in your truck and I will meet you in my office. I need a shower first.” “Do we have to ride with him, Livie?” “Ally or not he is an asshole and he isn’t going into my home without you Bradley.” I see as hurt flashes in his eyes but I ignore it and walk by him on my way to the packhouse.

I wish I read this book before I read the 2nd book because the 2nd book isn't finished and hasn't been updated in awhile. If anything can go wrong in a story, it did in this book! The author had me glued to figure out how all these twists and turns were going to work themselves out. Must read!!

Living in the Eras

Living in the Eras

I always wondered how it would have felt to live till you get old. To die a natural death. To hold the hands of your partner and the eyes of the people who lived with you all this while and say goodbye. I just wondered how it would have felt to live beyond the age of 22. I am Macy and I died of leukaemia at the age people say you start living. In my defence, Taylor Swift did make a whole song on being 22! But here I am dead and gone, yet very much feeling 22.

THE CEO'S PAWN

THE CEO'S PAWN

He picked on the third ring, his voice deep as usual but there was something quite off about it, like she called at the wrong time. "What's wrong, Larry? You don't sound like yourself." She asked even after he tried to hide behind his usual cheerful tone. "It's no biggie, pums, how is it going with moving in to your own apartment? What's the place like? You should send me pictures." She didn't need him to say another word to know that whatever had happened had Ollie at it's center. Larry always used we when he spoke about them, never me. But he just did and she didn't like the sound of it.

Chapter 1 Okay let’s talk about how confused I was from the beginning till the end of the chapter. The moment I managed to sort out some information, another gush of questions rushed through me. It was a bit fun and at the same time annoying. (1)

When love turns to ashes

When love turns to ashes

AUDREY (softly): “Okay… give me thirty minutes.” LARRY (grinning): “That’s my girl.” He hung up and tossed the phone on the couch, his grin widening. “Works every time.” As he poured himself another drink, Larry spoke out loud to no one in particular, relishing the villainous monologue he’d reserved in the recesses of his ego. “Let the two women scramble, point fingers, and defend themselves while I take center stage. They can waste their energy throwing stones at each other while I stand untouched.”

THE WRONG BROTHER

THE WRONG BROTHER

Larry is who she trusts right now, while I'm still earning my way back. We sit at the kitchen table, an awkward triangle. Charlotte tries to keep conversation flowing, asking Larry about his apartment search, his dating life, his adjustment to New York. He answers easily, charmingly, occasionally glancing at me like he's waiting for me to leave. "So," Larry says after a while, addressing Charlotte but clearly aware I'm listening. "How are you doing? Really doing?" Charlotte glances at me, then back at Larry. "I'm... getting there. It's been a hard couple of weeks."

The Vampire's Blind Mate

The Vampire's Blind Mate

"She knows my ties to my father. Being under their nose is our only safe bet." Larry nods his head robtotically, clearly still immersed in his thoughts. His hand lifting to scratch his chin. "I don't like the fact that we will be stuck here. Honestly i'm bumbed, I had started to get used to the fact of leaving." He heaves. "Nothing to be done now I guess." Larry paces around once more before convincing himself. "Everything is ready. So here's the plan." He offers. ***
