Lola wondered what was wrong with her and Trix; it couldn't just be anger toward Logan. Then, as they approached the arrivals gate, a scent hit Lola and left her momentarily dazed. It was an irresistible aroma of mint and wet grass, as if everything in her was drawn to that smell. It was like a magnet, an irresistible attraction that made her even more agitated. She couldn't identify the source, but she was sure she had to find where this heavenly smell was coming from.

I jumped a little and turned my head to the side. Lola stood next to me with a smile on her face. "Lola?" I asked causing her to turn her head to me. Her smile dropped before she turned to look back at the forest. "What is this place?" I asked her. The smile appeared on her face again "Home" She said. "It's the only time I'm able to be here" She said. "What do you mean?" I asked. "When I'm sedated" Lola explained. "Because of..." I trailed off not wanting to say his name. "Yes" She said and tear slipped down her cheek.

My eyes travelled down to her marvellous plump lips, that are begging me to have a taste with which each taste changes every bit of my mentality. The taste of her lips is unique that I can't get it from any woman, and most of all - it intoxicate me to devour her lips more until it turns pink. She remain still with her body leaning on me, her glassy ocean blue eyes continue staring at mine. Calling her beautiful is an understatement as words can't express how pretty the Moon Gooddess created her, she could be mistaken for an expensive ornament. Maybe it is the effect of her lips that I have once tasted that is working right now.

Roman only found it funny so he laughed out loud. Lola nodded. "Did you see the way they also stormed out? It was like the queen B and her sidekick." Lola laughed and so did Roman. Lola took her fork and knife on each hand and cut a piece of lobster and took it into her mouth. She swiped a tuft of hair behind ear and took a napkin which she used to wipe the corners of her mouth. "Today's victory doesn't guarantee us wining the court case , you know?" She cut another piece from her lobster salad and took I to her mouth then pushed it down, taking a sip from her glass of champagne.

Chapter 007 Lola's POV Mia burst into laughter the moment I finished telling her what happened at the Miller family's house. She laughed so hard that she had to hold her stomach, while I sat across from her with my arms folded tightly over my chest, already regretting telling her anything. "Stop laughing!" I snapped. That only made her laugh harder. "I'm sorry, but I can't! Lola, are you seriously telling me that Zack Thompson, the same cold-blooded man who almost worked you to death yesterday, suddenly asked you to be his girlfriend?"

she said suddenly, looking at me. I grinned. "Oh, hello. Did you enjoy yourself last night, sister?" I replied casually. She gasped and gave me a dirty look. "They were right... you're a jerk and an idiot. How dare you make fun of this situation?" I laughed softly and moved closer. "I'd suggest you behave yourself, Lola. Everyone's watching us," I whispered into her ear, as if we were getting along just fine. She frowned and glanced around. Our parents were holding hands, smiling at us like there was nothing wrong.

Lola rolled her eyes, “That old hag needs to get a life. Instead of worrying whether you stick your dick into me often enough.” Noah laughed, “I don’t think she has to worry about that department. I hear you promoted her from crazy bird lady to old hag now?” Lola gave him a cheeky smile and responded, “Well we have to keep things interesting, don’t we?” Noah’s thumb brushed over her lip as he gazed into her eyes and said hoarsely, “I have some suggestions.”

Lola swallowed, forcing her voice steady. “It’s me. It’s Lola. Look at me really look.” A slow smile curled across his lips. Not Jayden’s smile. Wrong. Unfamiliar. Predatory. When he spoke, the sound layered itself Jayden’s voice beneath something ancient, something deep, something that scraped across Lola’s spine.
