Where My Scent No Longer Belongs

Where My Scent No Longer Belongs

The sound of a wolf who's lost everything that mattered and only now realizes what he had. It's the mournful cry of a lone wolf. Abandoned by his own choices. I don't look back. Don't slow down. The sound fades as we walk toward our home. Our life. Our future. Tonight's moonlight is beautiful. Clear. Perfect. And I'm finally, truly free.

Runaway Luna Rider

Runaway Luna Rider

I was the Hidden Luna… a leader without a pack, a wolf who'd found her strength outside traditional structures, a mother who would tear down the world to protect her child. And that was enough. "Mama?" Eli's sleepy voice drew me back to the present. "Yeah, baby?" "I'm glad we're here. With Aunt Sable and Uncle Jack and everyone." He yawned, suddenly looking every inch the four-year-old he was. "This feels like home." I looked around at the desert outpost, at the makeshift fortifications and borrowed buildings that housed the only family I'd chosen for myself. It wasn't much compared to the grand territories run by traditional packs, but it was ours.

The Lone Wolf Who Barely Knows Me

The Lone Wolf Who Barely Knows Me

I have been a lone wolf since the alpha of the Moon Shadow pack disbanded and disowned me from the pack a hundred years ago because of my special and reliable ability that is one-of-a-kind; knowing everyone's truth and lies. "A hundred thousand dollars in exchange for the truth." I generously propose to the middle-aged man in front of me. "Excuse me?" asks the man before he glues his feet on the ground. He was simply passing through the corner of the same road with me but ended up getting a surprise proposal. Similar to this young woman with him, they convey these weird looks that are telling me that I might be some kind of psychopath or lunatic who wanders the street and randomly attacks an

The Lovely Loner

The Lovely Loner

The kind of cry that comes from the soul, not the throat. Peter held her like glass. His voice was hoarse, but he stayed strong. “Hey. You don’t have to cry like that. I’ll be coming to see you as often as I can. Every break I get, I’m there. You’ve got your laptop—I installed Skype myself. We’ll call every day if you want. You’re not alone, Ann. I got you, baby girl.” She shook harder. “But I’ll miss you, Pee. I don’t know anyone there. What if it’s lonely? What if I can’t—”

A Lonely Death

A Lonely Death

"She's just a kid, and she's already out there getting hotel rooms with people? And now that she's gone missing, she's making all of you run in circles? "Pat, why do you still bother with a walking disaster like her? Wouldn't it be better if she just died out there somewhere?" The cold fury in her eyes made me shudder. Patrick finally seized the chance to speak. "Grace, Aubree booked Room 318." Mom had been about to snap back, but suddenly, she froze as if something had just come to mind.

A Lonely Landlady's Fantasy

A Lonely Landlady's Fantasy

Philip, a long-haul truck driver, was often away from home, leaving me feeling lonely and unfulfilled. It might sound improper, but I couldn't help it. There was a craving inside me that longed to be satisfied, and it had only intensified over time. The way men looked at me when I was out in public made me feel a mix of embarrassment and exhilaration, adding fuel to my restless thoughts. My daily life was simple. After my parents passed away, they left me a three-story house, and I earned enough from renting it out to live comfortably without needing a job. But with so much free time, my thoughts often wandered, and that longing became impossible to ignore.

The Luna's Rogue

The Luna's Rogue

Dad could always make things right. I’d been walking for hours when I stopped and to take a small break. Setting my bag down, I took out a sandwich and ate it quietly, trying not to think about anything too hard. As I prepared to get up and continue, I heard a twig snap. When I looked in the direction of the sound, I saw three men walking towards me. All three were dirty and looked like they’d been out here for a long time. These men were probably deserters of the war. Lone wolves now who had loyalty to nothing but themselves. “What is this?” The biggest said as he stopped in front of me. “Check to see if she’s by herself.”

The Alpha's Scar's

The Alpha's Scar's

The vibrant depths of her blue eyes, usually alive with playful spirit, clouded momentarily, revealing a world of loneliness veiled beneath her strength. “I’m an orphan,” Luna revealed, her voice low and tremulous, laden with the uncomfortable reality of her existence. “I've been surviving on my own for as long as I can remember.” The weight of her words hung heavy in the air, an invisible burden that Aria could feel pressing against her heart, compelling her to empathize with the wolf’s solitude.

The Rejected Lone Wolf

The Rejected Lone Wolf

Instead, people feared me instead, because they couldn’t predict me. In my dream, I found myself in an isolated place, where there were no signs of life. Just a cracked ground I stood on. I looked up… It was twilight. There was neither a sun nor a moon, rather the clouds were orange and red hue. I didn’t understand. I had been having other dreams similar to this lately. Sometimes I’d be in a desert. The theme was isolated places. At first, I thought it was describing the fact that I was a lone wolf, but no, I was sure there was a deeper meaning to it.

The Beta's Daughter

The Beta's Daughter

He smiled at me, and then began to speak. “There was once a legend of a pure, snow-white wolf who roamed through the woodlands. It was like mist; if you looked closely, it dispersed before your very eyes. Nobody was every quite sure who, or what, the white wolf was, but they began to know it as the Lone Wolf, or The Wanderer.” His words were level in tone, and slightly gruff with sleep, and I let my eyes slide shut once more.
