Rebirth: What’s Left Of Me
For the rest of the game, when I wasn't watching Honey and the coach for cues, I watched the field, trying to figure out what was happening—and more importantly, if everything was going according to plan.
When the Lizards got the ball, Jared, still in full mascot mode, jumped up and down in exaggerated despair, getting the crowd to do the wave over and over.
But as the game dragged on, we all got less enthusiastic.
Less jumping.
Less shouting.
Eventually, our feet barely left the ground.
We lost.
14-7.
