"Oh. That thought is soothing to the senses." "Oops, wait. I am really bad with the choice of words. I failed my English language and grammar many times because of my incapability to be "gramatically correct" all the time. Hmm, the right choice of word is, I think, that what Lisha and I experienced, how to describe it concisely, is it is chilling, that it will make the hairs at the back of your neck stand for hours. It is really scary." Red lotus flower. Blue lotus flower. Pink lotus flower.

a saleslady said as she approached. She turned and pointed to the necklace she liked. “May I see this one?” she asked, following the saleslady inside. Within a minute, she held the necklace in her hands, examining it carefully. Could this be the gift she would give Ricky's wife? “Miss, do you want others like this?” the saleslady asked. “No, just this one,” Flora Amor replied. “But do you have one with a D in the center?” “Sorry, ma’am. We have other pendants with D, but they’re not heart-shaped.”

The cool air burned against my skin, but I kept going. I have to save Ronan. I owe him that much. --- The air grew thinner as I climbed the jagged slope, rocks biting into my palms. Somewhere at the peak, it was said a rare flower bloomed only under moonlight. Lunaris Noctis, the Moonshade Lotus. A flower born from sorrow, thriving only where the living dared not tread. It was the only thing powerful enough to anchor a soul between life and death. I reached the summit, chest burning, lungs aching. The hilltop shimmered under the light of the full moon and there it was.

Xylia asked as she lay it across her lap. “You will find out from your mother. If I don’t tell you.” Ehlark looked into her eyes and could feel himself getting lost in them. “The legend tells…” The woman who is gifted the Lilith Lotus flower will find her love. Ethan stops mid-sentence and looks, which she finds satisfying in the particular way of someone whose descriptions have been trusted enough to act on.

“Or I will make this a good deal less cosy.” One of the servants arrived--veiled, silent--with one dish of porcelain. On it was a white, clear root cut into a thin slice. Lotus Root. I had heard the name muttering along the halls. One of the rare plants of the flooded valleys, which are grown in the black gardens of the Spire. It made all senses as sharp as razors. Touch became fire. Sound became thunder. Pleasure became unbearable. Thorne picked a slice between two fingers. "Open."

"I don't want the grape vines to die." I pitied these vines, which seemed worthless to outsiders. I pitied myself too, who seemed worthless to outsiders. At midnight, Kash sent me home. I stood in the yard for a long time. There were many flowers planted here, almost all of which Jeffrey liked. I picked these flowers in turn and packed them. The tulip was planted after Jeffrey saw the wonderful colors it had. The Daisy, representing purity and love, was brought back by Jeffrey after watching a ballet performance. The Sunflower, with its vitality, was given by Jeffrey when he went to the amusement park.

Michelle walks in. "Sorry to interrupt, but did you order flowers, or can you check with Arthur if he did?". I look at her arms, and she is holding a small bouquet of a white, pointy flower. Mary gasps. "Lotus flowers. They're beautiful. But I don't think Arthur would have picked them out for me. He knows my favorite are Daffodils". I suddenly get an idea and start googling on my phone. Lotus flowers are the flower of knowledge. Rose found something.
