Louisville Comic Book Store Novels & Stories

Since we had time before we met up with Robert, and Beth we decided to go to the comic book store Chastity told me about. As soon as we walked in the door a huge smile spread across my face. Chastity hadn’t been wrong about the amount of Marvel items they had. I heard Chastity giggle, and I looked at her questioningly. “You should see your face right now. You look like a pup in a candy store.” Chastity said between her giggles. “I guess I kind of am.” I responded with a chuckle. “Go look around.”

My shopping experience there was amazing, and I even see myself probably visiting there whenever I need to treat myself to a comic getaway. The elevator dings, and the doors slide open. After stepping out of the elevator with my Chinese takeout in one hand, and the bag of pencils, gloves, socks, and the new comic books I got from the bookstore in my other hand, I begin walking to my condo unit. The thought of meeting Leo inside gnaws at my guts, filling me with the same instant anger that once flooded my veins about a couple hours ago after I met him and that Maddie girl clinging and playing around with each other.

I release his shirt and pat it down, and then I open the door and step out to the sidewalk before I change my mind. I refuse to stand on the street and watch him drive away, so once his hazard lights shut off, I turn and walk into Cosmo's. The comic shop we've spent Sundays at since the weather turned too cold for Aspen is bright and airy for the small space it encompasses. The smell of coffee permeates the area. Exposed brick lines both walls, a large window and front door taking up the space at the entrance. To the left running most of the way along, there's a checkout and section for customers to order coffee and other hot drinks. The right wall's filled with metal shelving to display the

When they were out of the main drinking area, where the nightclubs and bars were located, Lucas allowed himself a small, satisfied smile. Ema would be pleased. After weeks of failure, they were positive that they would receive exactly what they had been looking for. Astor followed the smell to a little, independent bookshop nestled in between a thrift store and a vegan café. Over the door was a sign that proclaimed ‘Bookmark Haven’ in finely chipped gold paint. Indeed, the bookstore was closed, and all the windows in it were blind, but Lucas was convinced the individuals were still alive in the building.

After indulging in her creation for a while, she closed her album and opened up a popular comic app in Charleston, hoping to find some comics that suited her taste. However, after searching for a while, Lucy could not find any comics to her liking. Was the comic industry in Charleston that outdated? Lucy was extremely disappointed. She turned off her phone and decided to go out for a walk to stretch her legs. Before leaving, she thought to herself, 'I've already encountered the person I least wanted to see the last few times I went out. I probably won't run into him this time, right? My luck can't possibly be that bad…'

Where the hell had she gone? “Where to now, sir?” Louis inquired as I slid back into the car. “Eighth Avenue. Tig’s Tattoo Shop,” I instructed. When we reached the shop, I told Louis to remain outside—I’d need him ready to bolt the moment Tig gave me what I needed. Tig flicked the last ash from his cigarette and exhaled a heavy cloud. “Mr. Merrick? What brings you here at this hour? We’re closing soon.”

"Am I late?" He smiled. I grinned. "No, you are just in time. Come in." He thanked me for looking nervous and went inside. "This is for you." Clark handed me a gift bag, and when I looked inside, I couldn't help but be over joy. "There this new store at the mall called BoxLunch has these cool things like Pokémon, Sailor Moon, Avengers, basically another Hot Topic. I asked Lily what you like, and she said you are starting to collect Funko Pop figurines, so I got you some."

Lucien kept sneaking glances at Zayn, still amazed by how composed he looked, how Zayn looked like he owned the place even though he didn’t. They reached a large, colorful store filled with shelves stacked high with books, posters, and figures of superheroes. Lucien’s eyes widened instantly. “Wait… this is—” “A comic store,” Zayn finished for him. “ Thought you might like it.” Lucien gasped and turned his whole body to Zayn. “You… really?” Zayn smirked, the corner of his mouth lifting in that way that made Lucien’s stomach flip. Lucien almost dropped the PS5 box from excitement. His eyes sparkled as he looked inside. “Can I… can I really—?”

‘No one needs to see this. He slipped the envelope into his jacket pocket and walked out of the hospital. The car drove through the city streets, the lights blurring past. Louis stared out the window, his mind elsewhere. Then he saw it…a small shop tucked between two larger buildings, its windows glowing warm and inviting. "Stop here," Louis said. The driver pulled over. Louis got out and walked inside. The shop was small, cluttered with beautiful things…antique jewelry, silver trinkets, custom pieces displayed on velvet.

Louis’ tone was deliberately casual, clearly trying to brush it off. Then he suddenly turned the wheel, steering the car toward a mall by the roadside. "Why are we pulling into a mall?" Adora asked, puzzled. "Need to pick something up." Once parked, Louis led her straight into the largest jewelry store on the first floor. Adora looked at him, confused. "You’re here to buy…"
