Yet, Hawk had been attentive while she was being jolted atop his horse. It had seemed he almost cared about her discomfort when offering to have her lean against him.

Was it from a novel Paige had read before? "What? Do you also think I'm right?" Chris asked with a smile. Paige refuted, "You should read fewer messy novels." Who would have thought that someone like Chris, a CEO, actually liked reading all sorts of romance novels? Did he ever imagine himself in those novels, fantasizing about being the male lead? The shelves stood tall and proud, adorned with books that I had arranged in a way that I found ‘perfect’. “You read a lot of romance, don’t you?” I laughed, looking away. “Well, true love is much easier to find in the pages of those books.” I took one of my favourites from a shelf. “You see this one— every time I come back to read it, their love story is unchanged. It’s ever as strong and genuine. Something you can’t say about love in the real world.”

From the description at the back of the book, she found out that the book was about a romance between a king and his slave which he bought from a country. She likes the book because it was about true love which she thought she would find but going through a series of events, she's yet to find it. She sighed as she thought of her mate.

A whole section of contemporary romance—Mirabel’s doing, mostly. She’d started collecting them in high school, said they were “escapist but smart.” I’d never read them. Too many happy endings. Too much hope wrapped in pretty words. I pulled one down at random. Dark cover, brooding man in a suit, and title written in gold foil: Claimed by the Billionaire. I snorted softly, then slid it back.

I love your collection of books, " I said, glancing around the library. "One can spend years reading all of the books." Thank you, but most of the novels here are mystery novels, and you may not find them interesting. He said. "But I think there are a few romance novels you may not find interesting. "Yeah,h I saw that when Amara showed me the library." The romance novels go through them. You might find them interesting. He said. "How do you know I love romance novels? You look like someone who does. Really... No I only guess you would... Most ladies love romance novels, don't they?
