Their fragrant essence was blending with the cold night breeze and it was a breath of relief even just for a bit. Aside from those aesthetic flowers is also the majestic full phase of the moon beside the veil-like layer of cirrostratus clouds, sneaking a look from them under. The moon hung low in the sky, casting its silvery light over the sprawling grounds of Lycan Keep. Kate stood at the edge of the forest, her heart pounding in her chest as she gazed out into the night. Selene's POV The full moon in the sixteenth week was a clear one. The kind of full moon that did not negotiate its brightness — cold air, no clouds, the silver of it turning the courtyard and the training yard and the pine line and the lake into a landscape that had a quality of its own, not daytime, not nighttime, the specific half-world that only existed in this light. We had been planning this. Not formally — not the way Kael planned things, with floor plans and documentation.
