Yapper laughed and kicked him again, harder this time.

She is friendly to all her consumers so I didn't read into it so much. I placed the cup on the counter and walked around to her. The guy, she talking to was handsome. He had all females' eyes of him and some males as well. As soon as we made eye contact, I smiled. "I am sorry to barge into the conversation." I said to him and turned to Ms. M. "I have to go, Ms. M." I kissed her cheek. "Lucifer is in the office today." She smiled. "I keep telling you to leave your cup on the table."

I whispered, a cold smile spreading across my face. My laughter echoed through the shadows, a menacing promise. "Not yet," I cautioned myself. "Patience. The perfect moment will come. And when it does, Lucifer will fall." With calculated precision, I began to weave my next move, setting the stage for a deadly confrontation. Working with Zoe had been a temporary convenience, but our alliance was built on shifting sands. We shared a common goal – taking down Lucifer – but our motivations diverged. Zoe sought power, whereas I craved vengeance.

Lucifer gently shook her. “Are you okay, Luci?” she coughed. “Are you hurt?” her eyes closed only for Lucifer to shake her gently. “I won’t be if you don’t stay awake!” His tears turned to sobs. The pain in his chest growing so great, he thought he would die. He would die, he would die without her if he left her here alone. He would go on a rampage, begging the gods to take his life, to have him leave this world, to meet his mate amongst the stars.

The rest of the spectators cheered him and carried him up and chanted his nickname. "Lucifer! The hell dog!" They kept chanting. I pulled away from the window and sighed. I hoped and prayed he would forget me tonight. I hoped his victory would occupy the thoughts of his mind, but I was wrong. A few minutes later, the very image of my thought strolled casually into my room. "Turn around," Lucifer commanded me in his alpha male voice and without much resistance, I obeyed, heading to the bed, my face away from his. Lucifer Saunron is the alpha male of the Lycans and the owner of me.

Meanwhile, the man sat weakly on the floor, gazing at the floor, while anticipating for his death, knowing nothing can ever save him. Lucifer stood staring at the man, as anger surged through him, his deep green eyes, suddenly changed to blood red, his perfect white teeth, grew slowly, until they grown into fangs, his perfect fingers, kept growing, until they were now claws, his aura darkened, igniting their fears. In a flash, he teleported to the man, and held his hair roughly, tilting his head, and in the next second, he plunged his fangs on his fresh neck...

Mate. This was a figment of my imagination; it couldn’t be real. No matter what Bram said about lycans being able to find mates, I refused to believe it. This was just some fever dream of a lust driven girl. Maybe I had caught sight of Isaac’s eyes when he saved me that night after leaving Djinn and Juice and I had just replicated them in my dream the first time I dreamed up these eyes. Lucifer rolled his eyes. "This would be how I interfere, Brinx. I will give you a staircase there, don't die," he said sincerely and waved his hands, restoring my father's home and taking our daughter's corpse with a flick of his wrist. He told us to gather weapons and asked if I had the whistle. I nodded and he grinned. "Use them, the enforcers hate the hellhounds," he said happily. I elbowed Lucifer and asked him what he meant about Grace and I truly loving each other and us not being faithful. He eyed me and sighed.
