The Miracle Luna
The crowd stirred, soft gasps and murmurs rising like waves.
The robed man nodded, satisfied. “So it shall be.”
He raised his hands, and a soft glow spread through the arena — magic humming in the air like static against my skin.
“Bring forth the marking,” the man called.
Gabriel shifted then — pulling me toward the centre. My body moved like it wasn’t mine, each step heavier than the last until we stood right beneath the moonlight pouring from the open dome above.
I stared at him, my voice barely a whisper. “What... what’s the marking?”
