The windows were open, and I could hear Selena talking inside. "It’s good that he has come for you," a woman’s voice said. It sounded like Selena’s mother. "Now, you will become the Luna, and you will get all the power you want." I froze, my heart hammering in my chest. What? My mind raced as I strained to hear more.

An elderly woman let herself in, she had a slight smile on her face as she walked towards me, "How is Araya doing now? I was so worried about her as my favourite maid turned Luna." "Not maid, just Luna Ava. We already told her we knew. There is no need for the act, her name is Reign." Zephyr spoke directly to the woman and she dropped the act. "I see, that was fast, faster than I expected given you wanted her to recover fully. I guess she is fully recovered now. So when is she leaving?" Ava spat her words with a look of contempt, she did not hide her dislike at all. "No one is going anywhere, she is not fully recovered," Axel deadpanned, his face was adorned with his signature stoic look.

I cleared my throat, "uhm, Luna Lana nice you could make it to see Abigail, I'm her mate, Christov, remember me."

He has grey short hair but brown eyes that match Louis’s. Mum walks over to join us with Luna Amelie, Brett’s mother. “Hello my gorgeous girl.” She kisses both my cheeks and squeezes me into an embrace. “You look stunning.” “Thank you Luna Amelie, you look amazing.” I add. Luna Amelie has always been gentle towards me, even though she has a reputation for being quite a ruthless Luna. She is wearing a silver silk dress and diamond earrings. She has long wavy brown hair, the same colour as Brett’s, that is styled into a side ponytail. She gives me a once over before turning back to my Mum.

I felt my heart clench I don't know what happened to her parents but I would find out but for now she was ours and we were going to take care of her. " I got an idea sweet girl, I said watching her little face as she lean back to look at me, would you like to meet my Luna?", she nodded and smiled a little her little chin wobbled and I knew that she was missing her mommy something fierce so I'm mind linked. Abigail to come hoping this would help her. Once my mate walked in she looked sadly at the little pup in my arms.

"Depends what am I getting out of it?" Mabel smirked. "I can talk to Emilia, convince her to spare some of your kind and you can be their Luna but you will be under her Queenship instead." Abigail snorted and her belly trembled as she chuckled, causing Mabel's smile to falter as she looked confused. "You think I want to be Luna?!" Abigail's chuckle became a full blown laugh, an act that made her bend over on her knees. "I'm confused. You always complained about your job and how you were dissatisfied with it." Mabel said. "I thought you wanted more?!"

Dina began, but the Luna interrupted her. "We've been searching for you for years, Lily," the Luna explained. "Do you know this name: Abigail Dawson?" "No, ma'am. My mother died during childbirth, but..." Dina's voice trailed off as she realized that neither she nor Lily knew their mother's name. It wasn't a matter of forgetting; Alpha Kenneth had never told them. "I would recognize Abigail's daughter anywhere. You have the same reddish-brown fur, the same silver eyes. You are her daughter," the Luna continued, her voice tinged with sadness. "This must be why he lied and never told you the truth."

My eyes fell to the humble, fluffy slippers I was wearing, a world apart from the elegant click of her stilettos. Who would believe that I was the Luna of Silver Moon Pack? No wonder the receptionist thought Abby was "Luna Selina". But I shouldn't back down now. I must earn my place back! After all, I was the true Luna of the pack!
