Alyssa's excitement bubbled over as she revealed their own discoveries. "That's incredible! We've been uncovering family records and personal accounts," she gestured towards the scattered books, "and they mention the Lycan Lords too." My heart quickened with anticipation, this was the perfect opportunity to learn more about Lucian, if he truly was a Lycan lord. This was my chance to unlock the mysteries that lay beneath the surface, to peel back the layers of Lucian's identity and understand the depths of his connection to the legendary figures.

I decide to start with trying to find what ingredients may have been used in the sedative Clay gave me. The first book I pull off the shelf isn't very helpful. It discusses the different myths about how lycans were created but doesn't talk about any possible weaknesses. Placing the book back on the shelf, I scan the titles next to it: 'Lycan Growth and Maturation', 'The Legend of the Lycan', and 'Lycan magic'. Magic? I've never heard of lycans being able to use magic. My interest peaked, and I pull the book off of the shelf and open to the first chapter. I skim through the text, but soon shut the book, deciding to focus on my first task.

Cole asked, getting on his feet also. “Hey Man! Don’t tell me, you don’t understand this?” Anthony asked, flipping the page of the book to where the full details were written. “I don’t. Can you tell me?” Cole asked, giving him a go ahead. “C’mon Cole, you ain’t this dumb right? I was reading a book called, “Lycan king,” It was a story about a Lycan and his mate who was a human. I glanced at Gabriel and saw him reading his book with full attention, he had a calm expression on his face while he was reading the book. He had the shadow of his long eyelashes over his cheek while he was holding the book in his hand, he looked attractive while he’s reading the book.

I need to figure everything out. So for the past 3 days, I have been reading everything I can find about wolves, packs, Alphas, I feel like my heart is broken, and apparently is because he is suffering, My mate is suffering without me. I need time, Time to understand why he didn't want me, why he had another woman while he could have me.
