Lyra Books Novels & Stories

“Let them. They don’t understand what they saw, and it doesn’t matter. Not yet.” Before heading into the training hall, Lyra wandered toward the academy library. She needed the silence to center herself, to make sense of the connection she shared with Kaelen. Shelves towered above her, filled with ancient tomes that smelled of dust and ink. The library was her refuge, a place where her shadows could stretch along the floor without fear. Nira was already there, sitting cross-legged on the floor with a pile of books surrounding her. “I heard what happened in the library,” she said softly, eyes wide. “You… you weren’t afraid?”

My palms hovered above it. I closed my eyes, shutting the noise in the camp and allowing my mind to wrap around the crystal. “I am Lyra,” I whispered. “Daughter of Aurora. I seek not power, but purpose. I’m ready! I want to understand. To protect what’s left of my people.” The crystal pulsed once, then twice. Suddenly, a gush of wind swept through me lifting my hair above my shoulder, causing goosebumps to creep under my skin. My eyeballs began to roll rapidly underneath my eyelids.

They conducted workshops on self-reflection, fostering a culture of open communication and emotional well-being. One day, a young woman named Elara (named after the guardian who had pioneered the fight against the echoes) approached Lyra, her face etched with concern. "Elder Lyra," she greeted, her voice filled with a question that echoed a sentiment Elara had once shared with her own mentor. "Isn't it strange, the silence? No whispers, no echoes. What if something worse is waiting out there?"

Elara sat across from them, her knees drawn to her chest, her violet eyes flicking constantly to the trees as if expecting them to split open and reveal some horror from the Veil. “We don’t have much time,” Lyra said, emerging from the tent with the Prophetess's book cradled in her arms. The ancient tome was bound in leather that looked far too new for its age, pulsing faintly with heat. She handed it to Aria, her expression carved in stone.

To every reader who has journeyed with me through the shadows and lights of this story - thank you. This book was born from grief and healing, loyalty and rebirth. It was a story of letting go, of learning how to run again even when everything hurts. Lyra's path wasn’t easy - and it’s far from over. The story continues. Book Three - Lyra : Dawn of the Divine The gods have awakened. Lyra thought she'd lost everything - her mate, her future, her place in the world. But the Moon Goddess has chosen her for something far greater than she ever imagined.

Lyra whispered in awe, her eyes wide with wonder. Elias arched an eyebrow, watching her as she stood there. “So you like to read then?” he asked, already knowing the answer but oddly curious to hear it in her own words. “Yes!” she replied, practically bouncing on her heels as he led her deeper into the labyrinth of shelves. “Books were my escape growing up. I am a book editor..” “I guess there is one attractive thing about you then,” Elias said casually, tossing the comment over his shoulder. Lyra stopped walking and narrowed her eyes. “Hold up. One attractive thing?”

CHAPTER 31 Lyra's POV I halted, staring at the towering trees around me. The idea of unlocking hidden memories felt like stepping into the unknown. But there was an undeniable pull, a desire to uncover the truths that lay dormant within me. A rustle in the bushes snapped me out of my contemplation, and I instinctively tensed. The forest seemed to hold secrets, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that I was being watched. As I scanned my surroundings, the foliage parted, revealing a figure stepping into the clearing. It was Alpha Gray, his eyes locking onto mine. I felt a surge of conflicting emotions — surprise, frustration, and an undeniable attraction that I couldn't deny.

I smiled softly at them, stopping at the edge of the bed. The girls stopped jumping and ran to me. “Yes, baby?” I asked, brushing their hair with my fingers, starting with Leyanne, then Selene. “Mommy, Aunt Anya is reading us a book about Big Bang Theory,” Lyra Helene said, wrapping her arms around my neck. I turned my head to Anya with my eyebrows raised. She chuckled. “What? It’s Lyra Helene’s night.” She winked at my daughter. “She chose the book.”

I know she stands no chance against me, but maybe she thinks she Does. I close the room door behind me, walking over to the small stack of books on the bedside table. Does Lucious enjoy reading? Maybe the enjoyment of reading is something we both have in common. From his bad-boy looks, I wouldn't have taken him for the type of guy who enjoys reading. I grab the top book that has a bookmark hanging out, marking the spot Lucious last stopped at. I look at the title of the book, before turning the book over to read the description of the book. After reading the book description, I see that it's a romantic drama novel.

He looked at the Iron Book, then at the space where my father had been. Task Twenty-Two: Complete. “A masterstroke, Little Crow. You’ve traded a father for a Kingdom. But remember... the Shop never closes. And Lyra? She still has the silver coins in her heart. She isn't your sister anymore. She’s my new Apprentice.” I looked at Lyra, who was being carried away by Northern healers. She opened her eyes, and for a split second, I saw the grey fog of the Shop swirling in her pupils. The war for the throne was over. But the war for our souls had just entered its most dangerous phase.
