She gulped hard as her mouth watered seeing the five-star meal laid out on the table, it was definitely an upgrade from the one pot chicken pasta she always made for herself. Grayson took a chair out of the table and reeled her wheelchair in, then he poured her a glass of wine and took a seat at the opposite side of the table, the chef came in and took a bow which she found inadvertently strange, ‘Tonight I, Monseuir Roberto have prepared for you both a three course meal— Lobster ravioli, with carbonara fettuccine, garlic bread as the madame seems to like and some macarons for dessert....enjoy'.

Cheetos tempura covered brie fried cheese sticks. There was an apple and fennel salad with shaved pecorino cheese and dijon vinaigrette, a brown sugar and mustard glazed ham. Also a mozzarella, gouda and brie macaroni cheese made with Meredith’s favorite choo-choo wheeled pasta. Meredith was nearly drooling over the menu. She continued to read down and saw Asparagus cheese tart with fontina and comte cheese on puff pastry. Pizza rustica, pancetta wrapped pork roast, lemon parmesan roasted potatoes, and roasted rainbow carrots.

The ninth course was herb crusted venison medallions for Laura, while Laura had stuffed breast lamb with lemon ricotta and oregano. "I'm stuffed, but I have to finish this meal." Laura let out a groan. "Fighting!." Both of them consumed aged cheese in addition to crackers for the cheese course. The final course, known as mignardise, consisted of bite-sized macarons, and the dessert was a lemon creme brulé served alongside a dry white wine. "I'm done!."

God, what have I done? "Wait, all of this is... for lunch?" My voice came out as a bewildered squeak as I took in the spread before us. Axel had truly outdone himself. The macaroni sat proudly in the center, steam wafting from the creamy, hearty dish. Accompanying it was a bowl of vibrant salad, a symphony of fresh vegetables sprinkled with crumbled feta cheese and coated in a vinaigrette. To round off the feast, a plate of blini – fluffy, bite-sized Russian pancakes served with tangy sour cream and a generous dusting of fresh dill. This couldn't be just lunch. It was a feast fit for lunch, dinner, breakfast, and repeat.

Damn! Now I was jealous. I couldn’t speak Spanish with that much fluency.
