I ask incredulously.
“They don’t die, but they can get a kind of… sickness for it.” He explains “I’m more addictive than nicotine, but less than heroin.” He offers. “I understand, so do you just take a little?” He nods, “Yeah, even less than giving blood usually, although I’ve heard of some Donors asking for us to take more.” “They ask you?” I ask, shocked. He just nods, his face blank. “It’s the kind of thing that happens behind closed doors.” He says. I can tell he’s never had to explain this practice to anyone before. “So you take advantage of junkies and drink their blood?” I ask. I start to wonder what kinds of diseases these people might have.
