Charlotte POV: "Do you think I made enough cookies?" I stared at the piles and piles of freshly baked cookies that were covering every inch of the counter. I made a small variety of shortbread, chocolate chip macadamia cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and macadamia cookies. The chocolate chips and nuts sunk deeply into the soft, baked dough, making sure that the eater had a taste of them with each and every bite. "If Timothy stops eatin' them they'll be more than enough." Raven sneered.

Brianna said, offering a faint smile. She took a sip of royal milk tea, savoring the shooting warmth that spread through her. The madeleines were light and fluffy, each bite bringing a subtle sweetness that perfectly complemented the tea. "Everything still tastes the same. Makes me want more, next time I will buy a cake. If… I had more money," she mused silently, smiling, and grabbing her belly. Sensing her baby was happy too with this little dessert. Just as she was engrossed in the delicate flavor of the madeleines, the barista approached her again. This time, he brought him… cakes?

"Well, we macarons, cakes, cookies, and brownies. But our best seller is cookies, especially the classic cookies." Austin's gaze went straight to the said cookies and began pointing with his finger. If the first store only has several benches due to the space limit, this store provides a serving area on the first and bigger area on the second floor, so the customer can choose to enjoy the treats right away.

Lola We stopped off at our regular coffee shop to catch up. Cafe du Coin is a quaint restaurant with a French theme that serves fancy brews, teas, and pastries. We love the food and service here. Plus, the pecan shortbreads and cocoa are to die for. Making me happy she was available to drive me home today. I smiled. The memory of those cookies had stayed with me for a whole year. Serena would make them sometimes, but they never tasted quite as good as Madison’s. “Sit down, Dearil. I’ll be there in a second.” Madison called out from the kitchen. I sat in one of the chairs and waited. Soon, she came over with a mug of hot chocolate topped with marshmallows. Madison sat on the couch and crossed one knee over the other. “Do you want to get comfortable?” She asked.

He looked like the definition of wealth and power. Nothing like the monster I’d seen in the dark last night. He didn’t even look up, calmly sipping his espresso, yet the corner of his mouth curved into a slow, cruel smirk. He knew I was staring. I could tell. And he was savoring every second of my discomfort. "Coffee, Gianna?" Madeleine asked, reaching for the pot, "Or are you strictly a tea person?" "Coffee is fine," I managed to say, my voice sounding flat even to my own ears.

Meli asked immediately, placing the two boxes she was carrying on the table. "Triple chocolate chip cookies, chocolate drip cake, and classic vegan carrot cake," I rasp, opening the boxes one by one. "So, aren't you going to tell me the details of Maddox's whereabouts?" I raised an eyebrow at her. "Easy, I'm going to tell you the whole story," she gasps, helping me divide the cookies and cake into three parts. She sliced them to make them easier to eat. "But, you know, Maddox's apartment is quite far from here, so you might arrive there in the afternoon," she huffed as she took a slice of triple chocolate chip cookies.

She makes me experience sensations I never expect to feel for any woman. “Espressos are really strong,” she says as I step away from her, putting a safe distance between us so I don’t lose my mind with her. “What?” “You ordered an espresso,” she continues, those wide, innocent eyes blazing on mine. “You’re not the kind to take strong coffee, and our espressos are really strong. Besides, if you have a sweet tooth, you should go for a latte with our creamy mocha instead. I recommend that to customers who want something on the sweet side.”

“What may I get you, madam?” Selena purred her lips in consideration. “I’d like a cappuccino with an extra shot of espresso, extra steamed milk, with a drizzle of chocolate, as well as a sandwich with black forest ham, gouda, delicatessen mustard, and a thin spread of mayo.” The maid’s lips parted in surprise and she looked at me. It just went to show that Selena was used to having every whim catered to. I smiled apologetically. “A latte and a ham and cheese sandwich will do fine.”

I saved my work and pulled her toward the break room. "I went to the bakery and bought us some cookies!" Manu held up the bag, earning a huge smile from me. "Right now, I love you more than Henry!" I said, making her laugh. We sat down with two large cups of cappuccino and started savoring those delicious cookies. I closed my eyes, feeling the chocolate on my tongue and the smooth dulce de leche blending with the gentle taste of the honey and walnut cookie. It was exactly what I needed - something sweet with chocolate.
