"Gogo never taught me this." Derek leaned against the shelf beside her, his usual intensity softened. "My mother loved moon magic. Said it was the purest form of power." Rita glanced up, surprised. It was the first time he’d mentioned family. "Was she a witch?" "One of the strongest," Derek said, a rare sincerity in his voice. "She believed knowledge should be shared. That’s why I like helping you. You’re… different." Rita studied him—the earnest set of his jaw, the way his fingers lingered on the book like it was sacred. For the first time, she wondered if Freda had misjudged him.

She was so young and had so much more to do in her life and that this meant he would lose her since it made her next journey a certainty It had taken a great amount of time for him to let her go after expressing concern on everything, to her mating, to protection, to her studies and battle training and for her to meet everyone else. It had been almost two hours later when Pontus had interrupted and guided the family to the table and explained how magik worked. Maddie and Cindy looked around wide-eyed as they tried to wrap their head around the drinks magik, while food appeared out of thin air and to each person’s specification. Throughout the process, there were those who were struggling and others who easily took out their assigned magical beast. There were a few matches that caught Maria's attention, such as the 4S Beauties of Diamond Academy. Despite their primadonna attitude, it was clear that they had talent, such as Natsumi who excelled in fire magic, ending her match with a large powerful fireball attack, earning herself a few compliments from the teachers.

She is just buying us time. “Do it now… Cerina,” Mammon told me in a low voice. That voice… it’s full of sadness. There’s worst fate than death. I closed my eyes as I summon my celestial weapon. I feel the magic coursing through my body. The tingling sensation I feel within me. This magic… was the blessing from my parents. This is light magic-- the fastest magical attriutes of all. A magic that has the potential to surpass time, itself. This magic is overwhelming.

"She gave too much. Her body can't sustain this level of power without consequence." "Then help her!" Papa growled. "I don't know if I can," Mira admitted. "This is divine magic, not wolf healing. I don't understand it well enough to fix it." I tried to open my eyes, tried to tell them I was okay, but my eyelids felt so heavy. The world was getting darker, quieter. I could hear Mama crying, hear Papa's voice breaking as he called my name. Then I felt it. A presence, warm and familiar. The pretty lady from my dreams, the one who had told me to heal Papa, was here again.

Silver. Mami inhaled sharply. Liora caught it. “You saw it too,” she whispered. Mami straightened slowly. “Yes. And that confirms it.” “Confirms what?” Mami turned toward her. “She’s not just any child. She carries two scents—wolf and human—but there’s something else. Something older. I can feel it.” Liora frowned deeply. “Older?” “Magic,” Mami said simply. “Ancient kind. The kind we thought was gone.”

“Come on let us go, “April G said as the three girls continue to climb up the stairs. Once they made their way to the door, they were attacked by what appeared to be an eight-foot chameleon that wrapped itself against them. “I have an idea to get out of this, but you guys are going to hate it, “June said. “Just do it, “Her sisters said together. June generated a flurry of snow around the giant chameleon as it slowly turned into ice and allowing Madison to use her telekinesis to shatter the chameleon’s frozen body. Quickly he fell to the ground as they rapidly rub their arms from the intense encounters that they had endured. Madison used her abilities to force the door open allowing her siste

His eyes were glowing faint silver, the same silver as Killian’s — only sharper, more feral. Elsewhere on the field, Harlow led her unit with fire in her veins, cutting a path through the enemy lines. Maera unleashed spells that cracked the ground itself, swallowing remnants in chasms. But for every one that fell, two more clawed out of the smoke. The guild was being surrounded. “Fall back to the ridge!” Maera screamed, her voice amplified by spell craft. “Form the circle!” The army obeyed, pulling into tighter lines, shields locking. The ridge was their anchor now, and if it fell, they’d all drown in the tide of shadows.

God I fucking love this woman. “That’s not necessary, Maddie. I can protect myself.” She rolls her eyes, with a groan. “Tell me about it, but these assholes insist on it. I have magic as well and Sophie and Clara are both fighters, where Sophie is one of our head trainers. But we have guards as a precaution and status symbol.” She says, making both Aslan and Ezra holler in indignation. Maddie laughs, with me and Balder whereas Lillianna cracks a smile. I look at her.

Although in his heart he always cursed the magic grandmother. "Okay, sister. I'll clean it up." "Good, go there quickly!" Sophia immediately left, leaving Jessica who looked satisfied. Every now and then, Sophia's mouth sucked at Jessica. He didn't mind if Jessica told him to, it's just that it was the woman's way of speaking that annoyed him. 'Okay Sophia, it's okay. Let's just say that this is the magic grandma's suspicion. Cheers up!' Sophia encouraged herself. "I can finally relax today and beyond, hahaha! You stupid girl! Just want him to be taken advantage of." Jessica looked happy, the woman looked at Sophia's leaving back with a disdainful smile.
