The Abandoned Luna's Return
The entrance looked like an iris—a giant, muscular valve that was currently sealed shut.
"I'll open it," Marcus shouted, holding up a device he had rigged from hospital scrap. "I’ve isolated the Reaper frequency! If I can mimic the handshake, it’ll think I’m an administrator!"
He fired a beam of blue light at the iris. The tower let out a low, sub-harmonic groan that shook the marrow of my bones. The valve twitched, pulled back, and then... slammed shut with even more force.
"Access denied," a voice whispered.
