They could be killed but after some time, they would reappear with full strength. When wounded, the damaged area doesn't bleed but instead releases pure energy in a vapour-like form. The interval between the death and return of the beasts varied but since the beasts always came back, killing them was a waste of energy.

Doing those makes a new set of life – the hybrids. Hybrids are half human and immortal. The priveleges of hybrids are they can travel through time, decades to centuries are their time travel perks. They cannot travel like immortals, who can travel even a minute ago, it costs them their life. Hybrids are abandoned after being born. The immortal parent will only leave them a certain amount of money. Hybrids must work to live. You think immortals are bad ones, I tell you we aren’t. Immortals were already have these rules, it’s up to us if we follow or face the consequence. Same goes with the hybrids.

I knew lots of immortals had served in wars. There have always been a few humans who knew about us and were willing to make use of our special abilities. Most immortals were given special assignments rather than serving in the trenches since they couldn't afford to have humans see them regenerate if they were wounded. I was absolutely sure some of those "special assignments" had been pretty horrible. I picked up his hand and kissed it then changed the subject. "Your niece I met - she was actually your brother's granddaughter, wasn't she?"

My hand went to my mouth, and I looked at Absinthe. Tears were on his lashes, and he closed his eyes, letting the drops slide down his cheeks. “Oh my god.” “Now you know.
