The Richest Man in Metropolis is My Backer!

The Richest Man in Metropolis is My Backer!

echoed through the gilded hall. The church door opened slowly and ceremoniously. The spotlight pooled on the bride's silhouette. It illuminated Maddison and me. I gritted my teeth as the pain in my chest grew. I could hear the crowd whisper. "Wait, what's going on? Isn't the bride supposed to be Taylor Jones? Why is Maddison the one in it?" "Did they confuse who the bride should be?" "The bride's become the bridesmaid! Is this a prank?!" I forced myself to weather the humiliation and led Maddison to the stage.

The Bride He Bought

The Bride He Bought

Krissy Writ3s sientate en mi cara
I’m left in the room with my pulse racing and my thoughts clawing at me. Tomorrow. Tomorrow I’ll be his wife. And there’s nothing I can do to stop it. *** It’s the day of the wedding. I wake queasy, my stomach turning before my eyes even open. For a moment, I lie still, hoping it’s a dream, that if I don’t move the world will fold back and I’ll be in my own bed at home. But when I sit up, reality is douced over me like cold water. Today isn’t just another day. Today, I’m supposed to be someone’s bride.

My stunning bride

My stunning bride

Wildflower young stepmother
Her tone shifted slightly, curiosity mixing with concern. My shoulders tensed as memories of that night surfaced. I hesitated, unsure how much to tell her. Knowing her temper, if I said too much, she might storm off immediately and confront my stepmother herself. So, I kept it simple. “I got married,” I said, trying to sound casual. “You could call it a shotgun wedding.” Her reaction was instant. “Married?” she repeated, her expression turning serious. “Arianna, aren’t you too young for that? I hope he’s not taking advantage of you.”

His Bride By Force

His Bride By Force

For a moment, I worried that he didn’t like the food. But then, he straightened his back and looked at my dad. My stomach tightened. I had a feeling something big was coming. "Sir," Adrian said, his voice a little too loud for the calm dining room. "I... I'm going to marry Rue." I choked on my water, my eyes going wide. Mum gasped and grabbed my hand. Dad froze, his fork halfway to his mouth. "Excuse me?" My dad said, his voice calm, but there was ice underneath.

The Bride Who Never Showed

The Bride Who Never Showed

"Carlo, I just knew you'd treat me better than anyone!" With that, everyone's gaze toward me grew even more disdainful. "For the wedding, Carlo even had the airline arrange two exclusive direct flights for us. But in the end, the bride won't be on board." "What's the big deal? Giada is only marrying him to secure a family alliance. Forget the other flights—she'd walk there if she had to." The air around me was thick with mockery. Meanwhile, Carlo's gaze remained entirely on Adriana. He didn't hear a word I said. In the end, I was nothing more than someone watching from the sidelines.

The Millionaire's Bride

The Millionaire's Bride

“I love you. I’ll meet you at the altar.” “I love you too.” Salvatore rushed back to the groom’s suite and found his father, Martin, and Aiden waiting for him with a young woman. She was wearing a sleek, black gown with a high neckline and holding a slim tablet in the crook of her elbow. “They’re ready for you, Mr. Bradford,” the young woman addressed him. Salvatore and the other gentlemen followed her to the places they were directed, and his dad stepped up beside him with a hearty clap on his back. “Son, I can’t tell you how much I’ve prayed for this day.”

I enjoyed each of the sweet stories. However, I am not sure how the characters of Gabe and Celina in story two became Brian and Leah in story three while all the other characters, including their daughter, kept the same names.

The story in the introduction is Chapters 1-24. Then it’s different stories with new characters (Ch 25-55; 56-84; 85-117). Love how the relationships developed between Alexa & Salvatore / Celina & Gabe / Sara & Ian / Camille & Noah. Love how God, prayer, and faith were emphasized in each story.

The Replacement Bride

The Replacement Bride

Nobody warned me that a wedding could feel like a business meeting. There was no music when we walked in. Damien had decided against it. It was too performative he said, for something that was already a performance. So we walked down the aisle of a room that had been arranged for a hundred and twelve guests, with only seven people in attendance: his lawyer, two board members from the Zhao family, Marcus, Vivienne's mother who still hadn't fully processed what was happening, and a registrar who kept looking between us like he was trying to solve a puzzle.

A Bride For The Don

A Bride For The Don

I spoke underneath my breath. "Luciano please do not make a fuss. You know the situation of things at hand. La sposa non sembra accettare." My mother retorted back. "The bride should not even be given a choice to accept or not!" I frothed on the inside, the mere thought of all this getting me so livid.

The Surrogate Bride

The Surrogate Bride

Maria and Adam—apparently that was his name; I thought it was Alan for the first two months because he mumbled everything—started their own little campaign of passive aggression. They talked loudly when I was just out of earshot. They laughed whenever I walked into the room and then suddenly went quiet. And they had unbelievably loud sex at all hours of the night. But I’m stubborn too. I refused to leave early just to make them happy. So I waited exactly thirty days. I saved every dollar I could from my waitressing shifts, but New York wasn’t exactly cooperating. Every apartment wanted background checks, credit checks, guarantors, deposits the size of a small car payment.
