Leo’s excited voice carried up the stairs as he ran around in his prince suit, Max trotting happily behind him. “Mama! It’s wedding day! I get to wear my crown!” Elena smiled and got out of bed. She spent the morning getting ready with the women she loved most, her mother, Victoria, and a few close friends. They helped her into her elegant ivory dress, styled her hair in soft waves, and fastened the silver tower necklace around her neck. When she looked in the mirror, she barely recognized the shy girl from years ago. The woman staring back was stronger, healed, and radiantly happy.

My hair was also a simple bun at the back of my head, with a jewelled clip to hold my veil in place. The bridal gown was pure white and simple. The skirt was flowing with a slight train and the sleeves were lace. Elena winced as they hugged and planted noisy kisses on each other's cheeks. What an introduction! She gave the woman a small smile and extended her hand. “Good evening ma’am. I’m Elena Sanchez,” The woman looked at Elena’s hand with a weird look on her face. “Oh no. Is this the bride? Look at her nails! We have a lot of work to do,”

It was a promise made visible. Zara walked first, dressed in soft lavender, followed by Claire and Rose. Each step was graceful, each smile glowing with shared joy. And then came Sophia.
