My Best Friend's Father
I chuckle as I pull down my shirt.
“Funny, but looking at your weight, even with the daily exercise, you’ve gained thirty pounds since your last visit.” I frown as I sit up.
“I don’t think it’s proper bedside manner to tell a woman she’s gotten fatter, Dr. Noan.”
She chuckles. “It’s good for the babies. Plus, you still look amazing. Half the men in town want to marry you.”
“Only half?” She laughs.
“All the men in town. Maybe you should give one of them a shot if you’re not going to get back with the father.”
