I swirled it around as Oscar begged for the purchaser's name. "Patience, Oscar, patience. I'm trying to help you out here." I smirked as I took a sip. "Who's the f*cking guy, Marco? Stop playing games," Oscar pleaded. It was hard not to play when I was so good at it. "Matias Castaneda. I'm sure you're familiar." "Damn it," was all he answered. He knew he was in deep sh*t. Nobody messed with Alpha Castaneda. He was enigmatic and stuck to the shadows. But, he had the reverence of all the packs in Miami proper.

“We’ll burn them down, Maya, if that's what you want. But I need you breathing to see it.” She said nothing. Just stared at him, eyes rimmed with salt and fire. Manuel finally cleared his throat. “Sorry to interrupt your love confession, but some of us have empires to run.” Carlos turned, sighing. “We need to talk plans,” Manuel continued. “I’ll check in tonight. You two can put your heads together before then. Just make sure we don’t walk into a bloodbath.” He turned to leave. “Wait,” Carlos called after him. “Maya, this is Manuel, my brother. He’s the one I called for help. He pulled us out of there.”

"That means you know some things about him?" "Yes. You have a question?"He asked, turning to me. Marcos is a Russian. He has lots of tattoos,But they are manly. He kept his hair short unlike Stefano, His features scare me a lot even though he's very attractive but He looks dangerous. They don't look like normal office men but I'm trying to not have negative thoughts about what they do.

Marcel didn’t say a word, he didn’t object on his beta, and clearly his best friend, staying in the room. “Do you want to get something to drink?” He asked me, and I shook my head as I looked down at the man who I knew was fighting back his own blood. “Thank you for calling me.” I said, looking at Vladimir who nodded. “I should be the one thanking you for trusting me.” He said, watching as Marcel fought back his own demons tonight, fought back his pain and anger. Whatever had caused this trigger, I knew that it was not easy for him to control.

TWO MAXIMILIAN POV “The Guns lands tonight boss, and The Red Hand cartels are planning on attacking us tonight and stealing from us, what do we do boss?” Marco my second in command turns to me, his eyes are filled with panic, despite the tattoos covering half of his face, he always looked up to me for advice

I looked up to see a lean man with blonde hair and bright eyes raising his hands in surrender. Ricco, Nicco, and Maximo shielded me with their bodies. “Viola, it’s me, Carlo Mancuso!” He yelled loud enough to see him. I finally recognized him when he said his name. “Ricco, let him through. He’s my friend.” My three bodyguards obliged and Carlo walked to me. He was the nephew to Stefano Mancuso, the leader of one of the four mafia families in Italy. He and I were not friends. I’d only uttered those words to ensure Ricco would let him through. I’d gone to boarding school with him when I was in high school—before I transferred to an all-girls boarding school.

There were no lights except the bare bulbs strung above the cage, and no rules except one: survive. I rolled my shoulders as I stepped inside, the metal door clanging shut behind me. My boots echoed across the concrete as I shrugged off my hoodie, revealing my bare torso—scars, ink, and muscle layered like armor. Across the cage, a thick slab of meat named Mando cracked his knuckles. He was at least six-five, and built like a truck. Judging from the grin he was flashing me, he thought this would be easy. That meant only one thing—he's new around these parts.

He squinted in the sunlight, the figure was far too tall to be Cara. Feigning slight disappointment he crouched down to pet the dog. “Archer?” The voice came from the tall, model-like figure. Archer stood up, forcing a polite smile to his face. “Or should I say, Zach Maddox? Which do you prefer?” Her face tilted sideways, mocking him. Archer’s smile dropped as he felt the sarcasm stab at him. “Sorry do I know you?” He asked confusion wavered through his voice.

I say, "It's not up for sale." "Don't talk to that man again," he grits through his teeth. "Aww, why? Is the big bad mob boss jealous?" I ask making sure that I annoy him. He says, "That's Santino Martino. My biggest rival. If you are seen talking to him, then my men will be suspicious of you." Okay. I exclaim, "Great!" We move in sync for a few more minutes. As the lights dim, I push him away.
