Mara jumped out of her bed, pushing Matthias out of the way. She dropped down to her hands and knees and frantically scanned underneath the bed. "What are you doing?" Matthias pressed, but Mara did not answer. She let out a deep sigh of relief as she pulled from under her bed what appeared to be an old and tattered leather-bound book. "What is that? I've never seen that before." Matthias stepped forward and took the book from her hands. Mara looked as though she wanted to protest before lowering her head again in shame.

I said to him in walking around his room, I turned my head to him in waiting for an answer and he quickly shook his head from one side to another. So he hadn't any family members. But from disgust smell, I smelled something else. He had drugs there, he kept them in a book. I went by the bookshelf and took the third book. "Harry Poter? Are you for real?" He kept in a children's tale drugs. Pages were cut in the middle of a book and placed drugs instead. He paled from my question maybe he was afraid that I liked his book and he destroyed what I like. No, I didn't like this nonsense, but... I shook my head in thinking drop it, Jack.

Flipping through the pages, there were sketches of wolves, and the last page that she’d written in had a detailed rendition of a nightmarish wolf-beast that made my blood run cold at the sight of it, it’s eyes smudged over with charcoal in the shape of a protective rune. My heart raced when I realized what I was holding. This was no ordinary journal, it was a spell book.

Ink walks over to me asking if I was okay, I smile thanking him where he shakes his head. "I should be the one thanking you, you helped me get out of a situation where I'd probably be in to the day I died" he smiles, I mean I didn't do much I just knew what was best for him "oh I got you this, back when we had our first conversation you mentioned something about mice drinking milk, so I thought I'd buy you a book" he smiles, handing me a little book with a mouse on the front, I can't believe he remembered that was so long ago. He picks Amelia up telling me he wanted to show her a cool fish tank, while I flip through the book, once I find the answer I turn to look at Blake.

It seems they had also caught on the depth of what the mysterious woman had said. I set my eyes on my mate afterwards only to find her famous blank mask back on her face. My mind was running faster than it usually did and I couldn’t help but feel as if this new lady knew exactly what she was saying. I had to leave sooner than now, I should've left yesterday because if he got these wards up only my full magic could break them and that would take time that I most likely would never get.

Draven commanded, his voice calm yet thunderous, echoing with a power that could not be denied. The guards obeyed immediately, shackling the trio with enchanted chains that shimmered faintly under the moonlight. The crowd parted as they were dragged through the assembly, their heads lowered in shame. Aurora stood still, her fists clenched, the truth clawing at the edges of her mind. Something inside her told her she was on the brink of unraveling a past that had been stolen from her.
