Omega (Book 1)

Omega (Book 1)

The wind wailed afore the catastrophe and the trees shook their leaves slowly as though pitying us. We had been told earlier that we need each other for survival but none was cautioned that the golden orb we all embarked on for our specie was to spawn wickedness and jealousy in our hearts as we tried to secure it for ourselves—and specie. Margaret was the first to get to it; the orb. She was a werewolf, the fittest of us all. As she touched the orb, hundreds of spooky ghosts like the shadows of varmint, soared from above the ground and attacked her like a swarm of angry bees. Before I fled, two ghosts pulled out her eyeballs before floating into her sockets. Another laughed as it forced its

The fate of the Rejected Alpha

The fate of the Rejected Alpha

Margaret smiles and turns another page of her romance novel between angels. "Margaret, Occisor, come eat!" Mary screamed from the kitchen. Margaret sighed and marked her book, leaving it on the bed. Occisor followed behind his older sister. Margaret was now a twenty-year-old girl, her long red hair grew down below her buttocks, her eyes were large, a brown like honey and her small mouth adorns her thin and delicate face. But, as they say, anyone who sees face doesn't see the heart, and in Margaret's case, no one saw her fists and her thirst for blood.

The Boss: A Cozy Romance

The Boss: A Cozy Romance

Sheer insanity? But what had upset her out of the blue moments ago? And why was she looking up at him now with her lips parted and a little pulse still beating rapidly at the base of her throat, those clear, lovely hazel eyes wide and startled and something else, almost as if she shared this highly unexpected attraction, almost as if it was a two-way thing sizzling between them— There was a soft rap on the door and Margaret put her head around it. ‘Mr Goodwin,’ she said, ‘a rather urgent matter has come up.’

For Love of a Vampire

For Love of a Vampire

Eileen Sheehan, Ailene Frances, E.F. SheehanVampirevampirevampirdiary of a vampire
The fact that Margaret would have expectations of Elizabeth in that direction galled me. Margaret proceeded to taunt Elizabeth about how she and Rufus had whipped up a plan to destroy Duncan and make me Rufus’ wife for eternity. Knowing my love for Duncan was real, she was satisfied that this would be the cruelest sentence she could place on me. Far crueler than death. Then, without a morsel of remorse, she ordered her men to dispose of Elizabeth like she was no more than a bag of trash. Before she could do anything more than gasp in shock, one of Margaret’s men snapped her neck. She never knew what hit her.

The Awakening

The Awakening

Sage finally shook his head, muttering something under his breath before walking away, his shoulders rigid. When I glanced back at Diego, he was still watching me, and there was a dangerous sort of satisfaction in his gaze. That night, I couldn’t sleep. The confrontation replayed in my mind in jagged flashes—Sage’s protective anger, Diego’s calm amusement, and the way both of them seemed certain they knew what was best for me. I ended up in the library just past midnight, hoping the smell of old parchment and the flicker of candlelight might distract me. It didn’t.

Too Late to Regret

Too Late to Regret

That last line came out weak and unconvincing. She quickly finished her congee and egg and slipped back to her room to get changed. Margaret sighed deeply. At this rate, how were they supposed to separate these two? Outside the door, someone rang the doorbell. Margaret had a headache just hearing it and didn’t want to answer. It was probably Ruth again asking about plans, but clearly her daughter was still unwilling to part with Charlie. Sigh, that boy was too good-looking—what woman wouldn’t be smitten?

My Ex's Boss is My Baby's Father

"The team wants you to know we support you. We know you didn't steal anything. We're giving statements to investigators, providing whatever evidence we can." "Thank you." "Margaret says to stop being stubborn and rest. Her exact words were 'tell that girl to stop working herself to death or I'll kill her myself.'" Despite everything, I smiled slightly. Blair came too, surprisingly. "I brought you something." She handed me a small bag. Inside was a book. Not about fashion or design, but a novel. Fiction. Escape. "You need to stop thinking about this for a while," Blair said. "Read something completely unrelated. Let your mind rest."

All wolves university: The Last Kitsune

All wolves university: The Last Kitsune

The inside of Margaret's house was warm and ordered, every surface deliberate. Books filled the walls, not for decoration but for use, their spines creased and worn. A fire burned in a stone hearth. On the kitchen table, three cups were already set out. Three. "You knew we were coming," Noah said, pulling out a chair.

In the arms of two sins

In the arms of two sins

*Margaret. The name played on a loop in my mind. Was it possible? I had spent years in this house, and Margaret was the only one who had ever brought me a glass of water without being asked, or draped a blanket over my shoulders when I fell asleep in the library. She looked innocent. She didn't look like a murderer. On my way back to my room, I saw the kitchen door propped open. The aroma of rosemary and roasted chicken drifted out. I stepped inside, seeing Margaret and two other maids busy at the long prep table.

Triplet Desires: Bonded To Her Lycan Step Brothers

Triplet Desires: Bonded To Her Lycan Step Brothers

“We are tossed by the winds of fate. Once we end where they blow us, we make of ourselves that we will.” Smart man, Neill, but it isn't easy now, is it? I mused, turning over the page of the book I was reading, mentally applauding Nora Roberts for being such a great wordsmith. And I have to say that Margaret Mary was definitely my spirit animal. I remained in my room, lost in the book, when the distant sound of laughter and footsteps reached my ears.

Fantastic story. Read the whole thing in one sitting!! Some issues with name confusion throughout though. Even so, such a compelling read. Loved all the characters & the relationships throughout. Amazing.
