However, that doesn't grant you the right to meddle with our lives," Marquis emphasizes, his words resonating with authority. "Marquis!" Oryx exclaims, her shock evident as his typically cold voice takes on a sharper, colder edge, cutting through the air like a frigid wind. The unexpected shift in his tone leaves her visibly taken aback, a hint of concern flickering in her eyes.

CASSANDRA POV "Mom, please don't make me go," I whined, slowly getting up from my bed.
