Marvelon's story has come to an end. I had so much fun with this story. It has blossomed so much since it started. The first draft was way less complicated than this final piece. The original version was a love story about Aqualia and Marvelon. However, as I wrote, the panster in me came alive. New characters joined the story and the old characters played new parts. Their lives were molded differently. Gosh, most of them probably hate me for all the tribulations I have put them through.

Marvel yelled frustratingly, his eyes tearing up. After a moment of silence, Venessa let out a laugh. "Are you kidding me? Hey, since when did you have such a thought?" Venessa asked, taking Marvel by surprise. "What?" he frowned. "You're way too off my standard. Taking you to my parents will be like an insult. I only let you to be with me because of the pleasure I earned," Venessa said in a stern voice. Marvel felt his heart breaking into pieces. "I am trying to reach your standard and make myself presentable to your parents. If this is a prank, stop. Did all our moments mean nothing?" he asked.

I say, looking down, trying to get my emotions under wraps. My mind and my heart are at opposite ends of the spectrum as the ceremony begins. My eyes need to see him, my hands touch him, but my brain reminds us that this isn’t the Maddox we knew. This man before me stole not only my future, but Jaron’s. He took something from a girl that she wasn’t offering. He has killed mercilessly over the past months as this new alpha.

"Don't abuse the power, Maddie." "Me? Abuse power?" I laughed. I'll admit it came out a little evil. I had spent so long being under the thumb of my clan leaders that the thought of having any power over others made me cackle inside. This might be the start of my villain arc. I pushed my thoughts aside. Be good, Maddie. "We need to plan our wedding." I cut my eyes at Rhys as I addressed Xander. Rhys shrugged under my scrutiny. "It's not like I forgot you were getting married, sweetheart."

AURORA (SIX MONTHS LATER) Did I… walk into the wrong building? Did I mess up the directions? Isn't this… Namora? Why is Avery wearing my wedding gown? And why is Felix standing right beside her? No. This isn't happening. His expensive tux, and my wedding dress now enveloping her body, are misplaced red herrings. They're just role-playing! Yeah. In fact, I'm actually seeing things. Hallucinating!

She hesitantly turned to Marcus. “I’m changing.” “Be my guest. This is my room,” he said. Kaleen then realized the hint in the room which indicate that such space certainly didn’t belong to a woman at all. “Well then…I’ll be in my room,” she said in hesitation. Marcus only snorted when she started to sway on her left side with a few steps. “You can’t leave the water just yet. The Manik’s poison still runs your blood and the coldness slows down your death,” he said.

He stopped just a few feet away, close enough that I could smell his expensive cologne. His eyes dropped to my trembling lips, then down to the slight, hidden curve of my stomach before rising back up to meet my tear-filled eyes. "Yes, Mila." Aaron murmured. "I did it all." A strangled sob tore its way out of my throat. Ryan and Justin were out there right now, tearing the entire city apart. They were bleeding, starving and torturing men in the mud because they thought me and Aaron had been stolen by a rival syndicate. And Aaron had orchestrated the entire nightmare just to steal me away. "Why?" I cried out. "Why would you do this?”

My past felt like a blurred watercolor painting—London, the books, my father’s distant, cold face—everything dissolving into the brutal reality of this mountain. ​The Paradox: I hated Xavier. I hated his cameras, his walls, and his suffocating "love." But as I sat in the dark, hearing the muffled, distant thud of a struggle somewhere high above, I realized with a sickening jolt that if he didn't come back through that door, I was dead. Or worse. I was a "Bratva heir" waiting to be harvested.

“No one saw her leave, no one knows where she went. One moment she’s crying in front of the whole pack, and the next… she is gone. You don’t know what happened to her, right? Or do you?” “What are you implying?” I asked, tightening my jaw. “Implying?” He chuckled like we were sharing a joke. “Come on, Xavier. You left the ceremony right after Dane rejected her. You disappeared without saying a word and then she went missing. People talk, you know.” “And what exactly are they saying?” I asked with an even tone. “That you took her,” he said, meeting my eyes. “The mighty Alpha of the Shadowlands found himself interested in a fragile little thing rejected by another man.”

Our fingers intertwine, and a surge of warmth and understanding flows through us both, a testament to the spell's power and the deep connection it has forged. “Where is he?” she asked after seeing the tears in my eyes. I pointed to where he lay. I started seeing sparks around them as she drew closer to a now-dying Rune. “Not yet, love” Lyra uttered except it wasn't Lyra I saw, she was the figure in the weave. She went on her knees and laid Xavier over her lap with her hands on his wounded back.
