Mated By Contract To The Alpha Novels & Stories

I wondered what had happened but pushed those thoughts aside when he spoke from behind me. I stepped back quickly so that the entire pack wouldn't misunderstand the situation. As soon as we released our hug, I noticed that Alpha Alex's left hand was different. All of his fingers were missing. I wondered what could have happened but pushed those thoughts aside when he spoke from behind me. "I'm really glad to be here to see this special day. I haven't been a good Alpha to Alicia, and I never thought I wouldn't be the one standing here as her mate today.

Bishop and York tied a ceremonial cord around their waist as they both shared a long-suffering gaze "My dear pack members, today we gather to witness a sacred ceremony, the mating ceremony of our Alpha, Arric, and his beloved Luna, Eirika. This is a momentous occasion, one that we celebrate with great joy and reverence. As your beta, it is my honor to be here to officiate this ceremony and to speak to you about the importance of the bond that our alpha and luna are about to enter.

he hissed in a broken voice, possessive and filled with eternal fidelity. He leaned forward and, with a firm movement, sank his fangs directly into the base of my neck. The pain was a fleeting spark, replaced immediately by a wave of mystical heat that sealed our souls forever. The Alpha’s mark was etched into my cinnamon skin, uniting our cores in an indestructible bond that no Council could ever dissolve. I fell into a silver haze of absolute fulfillment, protected by the massive arms of my mate.

My eyes lowered instinctively to the ending written in fine print. “–and that Luca the son of Alpha Ferguson would take Valerie, the daughter of Alpha Darren as his mate–” I felt a lump form in my throat. My stomach tightened as it sank in. It was a contract. A fucking contract marriage!

They exchanged a look again, that silent conversation that made my skin itch. “In time,” the third alpha said. “For now, you need rest.” “I don’t feel tired,” I replied, even though my body ached and my head felt heavy. “That’s because adrenaline is still keeping you upright,” the first alpha said. “When it fades, you will feel everything.” I hated how sure he sounded. And I knew he wasn’t wrong. A woman appeared from one of the corridors, the same one who had led me earlier. Her eyes lingered on me longer this time, sharp and curious.

CHAPTER NINE. “ No,Pippa is not my wife,” he said as his hands went through my hair,I looked into my eyes, there was a certain truth tied to them, one that I wasn’t yet aware of. “Please don’t go,I was young and they declared me Alpha, the elders chose for me a mate,it was Pippa, but I have a right to reject the mate I don’t want,” he said, a certain burden was lifted off my chest.

His hand pulled my chin closer to his face, and just then, he leaned in closer to my ear, cold shivers coursing through my nerves. “I own you now, Mate!” He pulled back slowly, and with his eyes locked on mine, he smiled before letting go of my chin and standing to his feet. At this point, I was more shocked than ever. Was the Moon Goddess just playing silly tricks on me, or was she trying to make me realize that I didn't have a choice to make? Last I checked, I hated Alpha Dane so much—I disliked every single thing about him—and here I was, realizing that I was being mated to the ruthless Alpha of the Redmoon Pack.

But since meeting Louis and his arrogant self, I constantly needed to remind myself not to lash out. I had to remind myself of the exact reason why I accepted this contract in the first place so i couldn’t let myself be distracted this early. I knew for a fact that we had a lot in store for us. The moment we are sworn in as the Alpha and Luna of this pack, all eyes would be on us even more than now. We would have to flawlessly fake the bond and parade ourselves as the sweetest mates out there. How was I supposed to do that when I currently hated his guts and he seemed to hate mine too?
