"Obviously, someone did know about the book, and it should have been guarded or locked away where no one would find it. Not left out for anyone to grab!" He rolls his eyes.

And somewhere in the shadows of my quiet apartment, something very old… stirred. I finally summoned courage to slam the book shut with a sharp snap that echoed through my quiet apartment.
