Perhaps the tattoos symbolized the void in Mizkeal’s soul, disappearing as the voids were filled.
“It amazes me how you fail to see your failure, Mizkeal,” I scoffed, strolling closer to him. “Do you really think that just because you’ve stolen a goddess’s immortality, you have earned the right to call yourself a god?”
