Tara walked beside her down the hallway, clutching two coffees and grinning like a gossip columnist. “They’re calling you The Muse of Cross. That’s either a curse or a compliment. Haven’t decided yet.” Lena groaned. “I want to disappear.” “Too late. You’re trending on the student board.” Tara showed her phone. It’s exploding!” The group name had been changed to ‘Care and Support of the Clown Werewolf King,’ and it was flooded with merciless mockery. Someone had photoshopped Sarek’s face with clown makeup and captioned it: [So I came after. I’m a homewrecker.] There were even meme videos titled, “The Werewolf King’s Breakup Survival Guide.” Louis laughed so hard his whole body shook. “Hahaha! That’s brutal!”

Following that, I received an invitation from Alexis to join a group chat named "Future Unicorn Core Members" When I joined the chat, the group happened to be active, with messages flying by my screen. However, what caught my attention was that most of the messages were meme stickers of that unflattering photo of me.

Her network, her beautifully crafted, military-grade digital fortress, was being flooded. Not by a hostile government or a rival hacker, but by millions of requests from a single source: The Global Brother-in-Law Fan Club’s online forum.
