Pulling my hair free from its elegant updo, I moved toward the bathroom, eager to wash away the day and crawl into bed.
The hot bath helped ease some of my restlessness, though my wolf remained on edge from the full moon's pull. After drying off, I slipped on the silk nightgown that had been delivered to my room, along with other clothes, after we learned I'd be staying at the palace. It was ridiculously luxurious - Royal Pack didn't do anything halfway - with delicate lace trim and a flowing silhouette that reminded me of my favorite nightgown at home. I hadn't exactly packed sleepwear when coming to the gala, but whoever had selected this clearly had good taste.
