 A Witch's Nightmare - Dream Trilogy Book 1

A Witch's Nightmare - Dream Trilogy Book 1

After the boys had left my room, I went through my bag and pulled out my favorite book, Night Flame, by Catherine Hart. I sat back in my chair by the window, prepared to spend the rest of the afternoon reading when a shiver ran down my spine. I jumped out of my seat and spun around to see a pair of yellow eyes glowing in the corner of the room. As those eyes drew closer to me, I realized that it was Simon, the fae that came to warn me the other day.

A Night with the Billionaire (ENGLISH)

A Night with the Billionaire (ENGLISH)

she began, calling for one of the maids. “What’s this I’ve heard about Lilliane being missing?” Mathilda froze, staring at the old man with a stunned expression. Her face clearly showed her shock, while Richard closed his eyes tightly and rubbed the bridge of his nose. “A-about that, I don’t know what you’re—” “Don’t lie to me, Mathilda, Richard!” *** FOOTNOTE (1) Balita: in general usage, means “news” in English, but in a military context, it is used to convey critical information or situational updates, and can also be a way of greeting or asking how someone is.

THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

Adrian replied, “You can all forget about your bright futures when you have a criminal record.” Bianca couldn't believe what she was hearing: “I can't believe you guys.” She said as she felt around for her phone. It was in her pocket. She was about to call for an ambulance when a loud sound rang out in the night. She felt weak. She felt for her neck, she was bleeding. She stumbled around to look at the group, but she tripped on the man she had been trying to save and fell back, down the embankment, and to the road below.

The Nightmare

The Nightmare

Once the line of vampires was gone, I was handed the much fuller bowl. "Go, but you better come right back." Nick ordered and I stepped forward. Again I placed the bowl down and said the words that my guide gave me. This time the lights went out for longer and the ground shook slightly. When the lights came back on, I stepped back to Nick and smiled. "This bowl should be set somewhere safe so in a window so that the sun and moon can shine upon it. As long as their rays land on our blood, we cannot harm you." I announced.

Susan

Great book. Well paced, intriguing characters with very solid world building. My one qualm is that there are, at times, too many characters. Often there are a lot of names being thrown around and its hard to tell who's who.

THE NIGHT WE MET

THE NIGHT WE MET

Step one was dealing with the bracelet. I was thinking about how to get my bracelet to David because that was important to me, but I didn’t know how to react or even function if I saw him again, knowing what happened last night. What if I asked him if there were any specific bracelets in his room when he forgot who the girl he slept with was, then I am going to be doomed. It feels like I made him remember that I am the woman he spent the night with. Thinking about this infuriated me until my phone rang. It was River.

The Dragon's Bride

The Dragon's Bride

That was when she noticed an old red binding book on her bedside table. There was a name on it, (Nightwing.) It also had a golden dragon encrusted just below the name. Catori's breathing came out in a rush at that, all sorts of thoughts running through her mind. Did a Dragon leave it here? She took up the book gingerly and examined it. Electric current raced up her arms, causing her to drop the book. The moment it dropped to the floor, it opened to a page on its own. Catori got down on the floor to inspect on the page. It only illustrated an image of a dragon.

Let Me Go Daddy, I Am Engaged To Your Son!

Let Me Go Daddy, I Am Engaged To Your Son!

She looked pampered and polished and expensive, like a trophy on display. "There's a book on the nightstand," Lena said quietly as the others began packing up their supplies. "The boss thought you might want something to read while you wait." I walked back to the bedroom on legs that felt like they belonged to someone else. The book was waiting for me on the nightstand, a novel I had never heard of with a cover that showed a woman standing at the edge of a cliff, looking out at a stormy sea. I picked it up and settled into the chair by the window, the silk of my dress rustling against the upholstery.

The Lycan King’s Broken Mate

The Lycan King’s Broken Mate

⸻ Toward evening, I set the house: half the lamps out, every second candle lit, doors closed, grates silent. The nurse begins the bedtime rhythm — no story, no melody, just a low, steady murmur. The children have tuned to it these past weeks. In the suite, Nyra flips through her journal. She doesn’t intend to fill it — just pins two words beside the date. I step closer. “What did you write?” I ask. “Measurement holds.” She looks up. “That’s enough for today.” I sit beside her. No embrace — the whole day’s been cadence; let it stay so.

Bully Me, Alpha

Bully Me, Alpha

Amber climbed in, sliding under the duvet beside her best friend, the bed dipping slightly under her weight. She lay closer to the night lamp, flipped open the book, and took a deep breath. She shoved Raven’s voice aside, her wolf seemed to have something to say, some opinion about running back to Mason, and forced herself to focus on the words. Her eyes landed on the first paragraph. "In a land where angels and demons live together…” she muttered aloud, voice quiet and hesitant as she continued reading. Bella shook her head fondly, already drifting off to sleep beside her, breathing evening out into soft, even puffs.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Nightingale is a historical fiction novel written by Kristin Hannah, set in France during World War II. It follows the lives of two sisters, Vianne Mauriac and Isabelle Rossignol, who take different paths in their efforts to survive and resist the German occupation. The narrative unfolds in five key periods: the early war, the German occupation, the Holocaust, the painful end of war, and the aftermath in 1995. Vianne, the elder sister, embodies the struggles of a woman trying to protect her family while facing the horrors of war, including having to harbor Jewish children and dealing with the abusive Nazi officer billeted in her home. In contrast, Isabelle, the younger sister, seeks to actively fight against the Nazis by joining the French Resistance and risking her life to help downed Allied airmen escape to safety. The novel explores themes of love, sacrifice, and the resilience of women during wartime, highlighting the often-overlooked contributions of women in the resistance against Nazi tyranny. Hannah's work is inspired by real historical figures, particularly Andrée de Jongh, who created escape routes for Allied pilots, making the story not only a compelling read but also an educational glimpse into a significant yet underrepresented facet of history.
