The memories were hazy, like fragments of a shattered mirror, but I tried harder, straining my mind. With each passing moment, the pieces randomly fell into place like every time I tried to recall, the memories forming into a cloudy narrative that only sent shivers down my spine. I remembered the flames licking at the sky, the acrid scent of smoke filling the air, the screams of anguish echoing through the night.

When my eyes opened, I felt a sense of unease, as if I were in a dark place. The absence of light made me question my surroundings. Was I in a grave? The thought sent shivers down my spine, but I quickly dismissed it as something I felt strange. Confusion clouded my mind as I tried to piece together the events leading up to this moment. Suddenly, a memory resurfaced. I remember the council meeting. The realization hit me like a wave, leaving me bewildered and disoriented. What happened to me? How did I end up in this mysterious situation?

I gasp, taking a step back from the mirror in shock. "Are you okay?" a random girl asks as she approaches me, snapping me out of my daze. I look at her before returning to my senses, realizing it was just my mind playing tricks on me. Why the hell am I imagining all this? The memories of that dreadful night are etched into my mind, refusing to fade away.

"However, standing here will not go us very far. If anybody can repair this, it's you. There it was again: my unwavering confidence, even when I didn't believe in myself. I took a deep breath and walked forward, placing my hand against the door. The light broke through, lighting up the entire chamber. For a while, I felt it would overpower me, but then something changed. The light was not just all around me; it was also within me, covering every aspect of me in a weird, exquisite warmth. Images flew through my memory in recurring places I couldn't recall, people I didn't know, and a soft, faraway voice whispering words I couldn't quite comprehend. The light went out as swiftly as it arrived,

Groaning, I lie flat on my back again, and the brightness was just hurting my eyes at this point. Immediately, I cover my eyes, not bothering the groan that came up from my throat. It was way too bright, the light reflecting over every single wall. Blinking, and trying to make sense out of everything around me, I close my eyes with a sigh. No matter how hard I try, no matter how long the days had past since that event, no matter what – I always end up fainting whenever my mind remembers that day.

I grumbled. I decided to ease my stress by briefly shutting my eyes close for a brief second. The moment my eyes closed, hazy images began appearing in my mind and I tried recollecting them all. Placing the missing pieces of the puzzle together, my eyes flew open in a flash. I now recollected it all. The memory came flashing back like lightning bolts. That same day, after getting laid with the young fellow in the hotel, I had driven down to the club and I got so tipsy and high.

Lucien cursed. And the woman with my face... smiled. Like that was supposed to happen. The pain ripped through my whole body. I couldn't see. Just light. Just heat. And then — Images. Not mine. A memory. I was standing in a room full of glass. A little girl in front of me. Maybe five years old. With amber eyes. She held my hand. And called me... Mama. I glow and rip my eyes open. The light disappeared abruptly. The hall was quiet.

What on earth! My heart raced as I tried to make sense of the sudden rush of memories. The images played in my mind like a movie, the intensity of that passionate night flooding back to me. I couldn't believe how vivid and captivating those moments were. Confused and intrigued, I couldn't help but wonder why that memory had resurfaced so abruptly. Was it a sign? Or just a random occurrence? I couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something significant about it. Taking a deep breath, I decided to embrace the unexpected surge of emotions and memories. Perhaps there was a reason behind it, a lesson to be learned or a new chapter waiting to unfold. I was determined to explore the depths

All he could see was grey. It was confusing. He could have sworn there was once color but his memory was. . . faded. Tucked away, somewhere in his mind. He could feel it. Almost see it. Not quite; like when you think you see something move in the corner of your eye but when you glanced directly at it, it was gone. He could hear it sometimes. It came in the form of a woman's laugh. A humming of a song he knew deep in his soul yet couldn't utter a word of. The whispered murmurs of lovers embraced. Yet when he searched his mind for where these came from, there was nothing. No memory or even thought on it besides 'where' and 'what.' Even that would pass by.

Even though I was in my mates room and had been in the room so many times before, something about right now was just different. Even though my eyes were solely focused out the window and looking upon the dark night sky my mind was much further than that. Everything that has ever happened to me just flashed by my mind with the memories haunting me and terrorizing my each and every thought. I could not help but struggle to breathe for a bit only to realize that I was the one holding my breath and needed to exhale. My thoughts were going a million miles per hour as I struggled to get a moment of peace from all of the memories that were flashing through the deepest parts of my mind .
