"Well, you know, mentally ill patients were often treated horribly 30 years ago—and even before that. How did this hospital end up in such a small town? Didn’t people oppose it?" Braylon asked.
"It was a time when national health programs were being introduced, and mental health was part of that initiative. This hospital was established under that program, and only the government knows why they chose this location for a mental health facility. Despite being in a remote area, we’ve treated many patients over the years, with 95 percent of them being prisoners," Dr. Anderson explained.
