A MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE: MARRIED TO MY ENEMY
Like a menace, I continued my search for narcotics until I had gathered all of them or all the ones I could find.
Steve was a weeping mess when I was done. “Thousands of dollars, gone,” he muttered absently. “You are going to pay me back!” He yelled.
I scoffed. “I will be paying for your rehabilitation and nothing more.”
“Charles, you bastard.” Steve threw his fists at me, but it was so weakly executed that he missed.
I, however, didn’t. I gave him a resounding slap. “Snap out of it, you idiot.”
With Steve still grappling with the reality of the slap, I dragged him into the showers, putting it on cold and letting the water drench senses back into his head.
