THE BRATVA’S BRIDE
The moment Mikhail entered with Donatella by his side, the chatter died.
He went straight to the head of the table.
“May I know why I was summoned so early?” His voice was cold, sharp enough to cut through the silence.
A military officer stepped forward, hesitating. “I’m sorry but…”
Mikhail’s eyes narrowed. “Speak.”
The words came out flat, heavy. “Pakhan Sergei Morozov is dead.”
For a second, no one moved. The air seemed to vanish from the room. Mikhail just stared, disbelief carved into his face. Then, without warning, he lunged — his fist connecting with the officer’s jaw, sending him crashing to the floor.
