Chapter 23 The man stood just by his car door with his hands on the door , a big smile was never on his face , but his face looked a bit dumb . One could tell that he was trying to put up a smile when he was clearly not in the mood to do that . It was no other than the CEO of the Maxwell company . Just two weeks ago he was made the new CEO just like every excited person but to their greatest surprise , a week after , his father who was grand master had come out to say he had changed his mind and his second child would be the new CEO of the company .

I gave him one last smile before, helping myself with a seat beside him. Papa went ahead to explain the reason why he called me, it happens so that Mr handsome here is the CEO of the most wealthiest and biggest perfume brand 'Red flames' in the country. And also his company is in collaboration with a huge fashion industry too. So he was an influencial person, but how come I haven't known him all these while.

He scoffed. “Well, that's a valid point. Number three, the rest are unreasonable.” He stated in deadpan voice. I glared at him. How rude as usual. “You're smart. You must have figured out my father is playing matchmaker after the incident yesterday.” He said. I nodded. “My father won't stop bugging me about getting married. Shit about starting a family, giving him grand children, securing my place as CEO, but I'm not ready.” He continued. I was tempted to ask why he wasn't ready but I thought it would be best not to. I'll soon be appointed as the CEO of Phoenix Holdings, so there's no harm in talking about it now, is there?" Alex retorted.
