Maybe she’s a serpent with poisonous fangs” Klara imitated a snake face showing her canines and Milo laughed out loud clapping his hands in amusement. “You are funny. Chameleon? It suits her perfectly and don’t worry Fiona, Master doesn’t need anyone to protect him” Klara arched her brow placing her hands on her hips and gave him an overall look. “Then what’s the use of feeding you all” Milo gasped standing up with a pout which didn’t suit him but still he pouted pointing his finger at her and spoke proudly.

How he would show her the ring and tell her it had always been hers. He even let himself imagine her reaction. Maybe she would be surprised or touched. She would cry, and then forgive him. And then, they could start over. This time, he wouldn't let her suffer even a little. The flight took more than ten hours. He didn't sleep. By the time they landed, his eyes were red from exhaustion and the strain of holding himself together. The plane finally touched down. Oldtown's sky had always been gray. A drizzle drifted down, turning the air damp and icy.

" Nice to meet you, Mrs. De Luca, I'm Milo Montez, and we'll be seeing more of each other in the future" I frowned at her strange name until her hands envelopes mine, her strong grip took me by surprise and I looked up at her in a daze, seeing the sharp bridge of her nose, thin mouth, and the rest of the masculine features I didn't notice at first, I gasped in shock. " You're.. you're a man?" Milo winked at me. " Never judge a man by his choice of clothes " Despite the smile on his face, I did not doubt that he was just as deadly as everyone else in this room, what kind of crazy people were these?

I looked down to my feet then gulped, raising my head back up to look over at the venue where screams and cheers of the fans could be heard. I gazed over to the lad in front of me while he tilted his head to the side just like a cute little puppy. "Is it really okay for me to go out there?" I blushed when Milo laughed at my question, he must've thought that I am asking such a stupid question. He playfully smacked my head with another laugh before answering, "Of course, it's okay."

“I’m not—this isn’t, like… an interview or anything.” They sat. Ryder leaned forward slightly, forearms on his thighs. “So… are you moving back?” he asked. “Playing for the Vultures again. Or—” he huffed a breath, glancing briefly toward the door, “Phoenix— Phoenixeses? I guess.” Milo shook his head immediately. “It's just Phoenix… And no. No, I’m good.” His mouth curved, a little firmer this time. “I’m with the Stormriders. I’m happy there. Not going anywhere.”
