The best I can figure is that it's something to do with the subconscious; planting some sort of seed in the back of my mind which this complete mess could grow from. It's like all that stuff the government did way back in the fifties and sixties. MK Ultra, I think it was called. They messed with people, deprived them of sleep, gave them all sorts of drugs, and made them watch crazy stuff, all to try and figure out how to control someone's mind.
